I doubt it's that much quieter, probably still sounds like a super loud hairdryer

Gas blower? Just tell your maint guy to lay off the currys if he trumps that loud. That's the only gas blower I know of.

If you're thinking of buying the trimmer, the Kobalt has a brushless motor. The Ego brushless are still $399.
I bought one of the blowers some time back when they had 20% off. I thought that was reasonable value when compared to some of the other brands. I find it is pretty good. Only thing is I paid a lot more than this.

Probably only works if you choose the "collect" option not the posted option (presume that's what you've done?)

Got one of these! They are pretty good. Not as noisy as the traditional ones, but don't think it's quiet - most of the noise is the air rushing around and you can't do much about that. Battery life is huge in low, but still way more than enough in high anyway - so use it mostly in high and put up with the whiny noise.

Note the trimmer is not the newer brushless motor one which is bigger and has a wider cutting area at the base. The bigger one is the one I really wanted. Got the blower and rapid charger last night on this special. Going to get the mower and brushless trimmer another day when on sale.
Buy this blower as just the battery and charger are the same price (if purchased separately), blower skin is then a bonus. Then purchase the new brushless trimmer skin at $239.00.
Total cost = $399. Same price as the brushless trimmer with battery and you have a bonus blower.
As long as you keep in mind the full trimmer kit comes with a 2.5Ah battery and the blower a 2Ah. Still fine but slightly lower capacity.
Masters eBay. Only has the old trimmer and blower. I requested to have the new trimmer put on eBay but no luck. New blower and mower is coming out soon.
What is the difference between the old blower and the new one?
