Yes, there's a very long layover, but that means there's enough time to head into the city and have a long nap at a hotel followed by a good feed, or you could pay about $75 for a room for 6 hours at an airport lounge.
14hrs layover is a very long time. If I remember correctly, it costs about $30 for the express train to the city. Getting a cheap return flight is a problem, even from other airports in China.
