I normally do half ice (chatime style lol). Works out pretty well for small / medium drinks.
While they will probably fill it up, just be aware that they will not be obliged to.
Your paying for x ml of soft drink, not a full cup of soft drink. Plus ice helps keep the drink carbonated longer.
Been doing it for years and no problems yet.

More a warning that if someone asks no ice and gets a non-filled cup, don't yell at the young server (not that I'm implying you would, but some people have such a sense of entitlement).

There's some different promo they accidentally give sometimes (10% off) and that's usually better.
Also worth mentioning that in Brisbane I was able to swap out the cup of softdrink/water for a bottle of water too!
if you do that its not actually that bad a meal for you health wise.
It's not really very healthy either, plenty of carbs and protein but no nutrients or minerals.

I tried to order this at Maccas Collins St Melbourne, 5 mins ago, she didn't have a clue about this $3 deal and asked his manager; manager advised her that this deal will start on 25/05? is this correct?

It wasn't in the self-serve kiosk menu either. The small cheeseburger meal showed up as $4.80.

It wasn't in self serve at mine, but was available. It's apparently on their system under the loose change menu and Three for $3. They had trouble finding it when I went, but they got there and it was advertised on their changy sign thing.

Just checked the Self order screen and it was under cheeseburger items. It was there in the 3 for $3 promotion. Got cheeseburger, fries and bottle water.
Garden salad can be exchanged for fries.
