Oh don't you worry, I do extensive research and compare the prices amongst top hotel booking websites before eventually spending my money. It goes without saying, especially when you're on Ozbargain website thank you very much.

Nah, too lazy for that. Everyone has got their own preferences. If you are up for easy Qantas points you will do the research. My post is to especially bring everyone's attention to the points they can get- if they want to. I have in the past canceled my bookings on Booking.com just because I came across a much cheaper, better hotels in Qantas link with points as an added bonus.

I generally find hotel rates are much more expensive on qantas web portal compare to others
the extra cost of the hotels way outweighs the value of the bonus points…

i just checked sofitel hotel for the same dates on the qantas site then on the sofitel site and got the exact same price…did you actually check any prices?

Getting more points than usual is still a bargain.Just because it doesnt appeal to you doesnt mean its not a bargain.
Was going to book a Sydney one last week, glad I didn't QFF points went from 3.5K to over 10K thank you Qantas for emailing me dis mornin..
