diamond in the rough? I hope it's as good as they say.

Still not very often you find something on Aliexpress that's actually cheaper elsewhere, as apparently it goes for $13 USD on Amazon (not incl. int. shipping)

I personally thought it was something that I could recommend. The units are massive and the build quality is what you'd expect from a $25 bluetooth headphone. That said, I found it to be better than some of the non-wireless earphones I've tried.

I do know that there are fakes out there, last time I posted this, someone did bring up a cheaper option on eBay that looked fake from its description. One of the reasons why I kind of mentioned a list of things that I think makes this one less likely to be a fake product (how old the vendor is, how much feedback the product has etc).

I guess this is my roundabout way of saying that I think the one on Amazon might be a fake, if you do look at the reviews, you do see people posting pictures of what seems to be a knock off product. That said, it might be an authentic one on sale, since I do get the feeling that QY8 is becoming superceded.

I do remember QC8 had a way of checking whether the authenticity (can't remember what it exactly was though).

  • I was in the market for a Bluetooth Earphones after missing all the past deals posted on OzBargain so I purchased the MPOW Magneto from Aliexpress for 17.47 USD + 3.41 USD (Shipping) = 20.88 USD

    • have you got them yet? if so are they any good?

      • I just placed the order last week, so haven't received them yet. I'll let you know.

I have a QCY - QY8 pair of earphones, also bought on Aliexpress, but from a different vendor. I find the built-in quality and the sound the be very satisfying for the paid price. My only complaint is that quite often the cord between the phones is made of a rubber that tangles in contact with my neck, and after a few head turns one ear might come short of chord and fall. A friend of mine bought it to use while running and he didn't like it, because if you really want it to hold tight on your ear, it isolates the sound and it can be dangerous on the streets.

I bought some QCY QY8 from the online Australian Store, Sobre (posted on here few weeks ago). I can confirm these are good quality units (assuming you are getting an original) and sound very good. A lot of people say they sound great "for the price", which is a little confusing as there is no reference as to what other price units they are comparing them to. All I can say is they sound very good overall in my opinion and you would not be disappointed, irrespective of the price. The price being so low is a huge bonus.

Range is not too bad but expect drop outs when about 12-15m or more away from your phone (I have an Iphone 6 plus).
Base is strong (when tighly in ear) but not thumping
Highs are good but dominates a little
    Mids are a slightly weak

Better than the Jabra Sports and Jabra sports pulse etc

Not great for running as they slip out easily -the "wings" are hopeless as they are too soft

Cord is not as soft/flexible as I would like but not a huge complaint

They are quite large in appearance in the ear so not really a fashionable statement. but not to the point of being unsightly.

So to summarise - Very good sounding bluetooth earphones that are cheap. Good for cycling, gym work, travelling on a bus. not so good for running. not as fashionable as some other units on the market. Would I buy for $150 = no, $80 = maybe, $20-$30 definite yes!

    Happy Ozbargaining!

    • agree!
      I have a Jabra Move & a QCY QY8, also a HD439 and a few XiaoMi and others.
QCY QY8 is very good for $30, it can be much louder than Jabra Move and sounds close, range about same but not great between walls.
The wired ones are generally better sound though.

  • Thanks,

Purchased. Been wanting a set of bluetooth headphones so I can start jogging ;)
