Amnet "Super Special" - Free Connection, Free First Month and $100 Credit on 24 Month Plan

30
supaspecial

Just found this when a friend ask for latest ISP deals going.

Terms and Conditions: This offer is available until 30 June 2010, on a 24 month agreement, to new Amnet broadband customers only. The $100 credit is not redeemable for cash. If you disconnect the service during the agreement period you’ll be charged the standard disconnection fee, see Amnet's FAQ for details. This offer is subject to our promotions terms and conditions.

EDIT: I think you get a free connection when signing up to 24 month plan anyway, but still the $100 credit is better than the $50 for their "refer a friend" deal, plus you get the first month free too.

  • Good deal on a quality ISP, does anyone know the process / downtime for moving from naked ii to naked Amnet.

  • I wouldn't recommend signing up to a 24 month contract..
If the past few months has shown us anything it's that ISP deals are getting better and better at the moment (after quite a period of stagnation). Why lock yourself into a 2010 "bargain" that will look outrageous in 2012?
I can't wait for my 12 month contract to expire so I can move to one of the better deals available now!

  • actually is there any good isp with no contract at all ? but please not unwired!

    • Most offer no contract, but you pay a big "setup fee"

    • actually i am after the same thing and i am using unwired, has to be something good with more than 5gb peak and less than 50 per month ?

      good forum post idea

      • are u using unwired because you're in a non adsl2 area?

for adsl1 the best is probably exetel which for $50 gets you 12gb peak / unlimited off @1500k

        • not sure about mikinoz, but i use unwrd coz i dont want to get into contract. and they are cheap.. BUT signal isnt strong.. i live at sydney city CBD and still not happy

          • @CyberMurning: same dont like the contract, get great signal but its not exactly the highest connection speed 512k with actual download at a max of 50-60k ps avg 30k im on the 5/20 gb plan .

been with them for 5 + years and very little downtime, quite reliable just looking forward to moving house so i can get naked adsl

i have had their wireless card, usb modem & ethernet the ethernet is def the way to go

  • how is their plan like?
—never mind. Found it now. Very poor value IMHO.

  • You are only locking yourself into Amnet as a provider for 24months, NOT to a particular plan.

All current customers received the same increases in allowances over the last year or so. Amnet seems to regularly change their plans to remain competitive. I recently moved down from a $119 plan to a new $89 plan (~$20 down grade fee) but get almost 50% more data allowance!
