  • well i dont know if theres still 10$ copters left im late to the party

    • There isnt, although they are usually 15-20 for the cheap ones, local markets are good to pick them up , at least you can try before buy.

  • These helicopters are way better than the cheapie $10 ones.not too bad a price for them
they are 4 channel compared to the cheaper 2 or 3 channel helicopters (i.e. they can fly up/down, spin left/right, go forwards/backwards + yaw/strafe? (left/right)
    dealextreme (non 2.4ghz) ~$105 aud delivered: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4109
rc711.com has the 2.4ghz for around $133 delivered (out of stock atm)

  • How much weight could this lift? :-)

    • I wouldn't go crazy! You CAN fit a trainer kit on this if you want, but to be honest, this heli IS the trainer in my opinion. I've personally tried 5-6 helis and this is one of the 2 that I could properly fly (the other is a $400 one). Some of the cheaper $70 ones just ended up in the bin because I never got it working/flying properly..what a waste.

The Esky isn't suitable for outdoor on a windy day though. Its more of an indoor heli or for outdoors when there is absolutely no wind. If you want an outdoor one, you will need to spend around $300 or more.

You can't compare it with the mini RC ones you see in the markets for $25 (yes, i have one of these also!). They are fun, but they tend to spin in one direction constantly and you have to keep correcting. You get much more control with this one not to mention is around 5 times bigger.

  • 2007 model….

  • if any body wants a cheap heli, i should probably sell mine.. its a walkera 4 channel.. 2.4Ghz.. its the smaller ones.. about 30cm or 40cm long.. i dont have time to use it.. just sitting in its box.. give me an offer

    • where is it located ?

  • I love the description "! This is not a toy!", yet the bread crumb links at the top of the page describe the category as "Radio Controlled Toys" :)

Cool toy, but too rich for me.

    • Its a toy but for grown ups. We didn't want parents buying it for their 6 year olds and having them take an eye out with it because they can't follow safety instructions…but yes, its a big boys toy. : )
