Bought these when they came out at $49 after seeing them in japan last year, they're super fun and cute but not as in depth as a tamagotchi if you're coming from something like the UNI or PIX, its really sad they got this cheap but the advertising and packaging (like lack of test hole to really understand the toy) i think contributed to them failing so hard

Had it for a week and still has batteriesThey also sleep from 8pm-6am so can’t play with it then unless you change time but good for kids so they don’t get addicted

Marrickville had a few when I was there the other day. I had already ordered mine from Target
I got this for my kids, it's quite decent, I think the extra control button that lets you "touch" the character is what makes it unique and different compared to usual digital pets.

Glory hole toy imminent
There were none at Hornsby but got one at Castle Hill. Didn't see any on the shelf, found one under the shelf by chance when. I got down to the my shoe laces.
Was told by both Hornsby and Castle Hill that they have deliveries on the way. So may be worth checking later this week.
I suspect someone somewhere will write new firmware for this device to perform other simulations.
