Was just on Dell AU website refurbished for $899.

Also this is better because SSD and IPS screen IMO although i haven't ordered it (assuming no import charges really is the case since this is >1000 AUD:

You do get an i5 rather than an i7.

That ebay listing is in USD.

      US $999.99
      Approximately AU $1,319.60

postage: US $44.59 (approx. AU $58.84)

      Import charges:
US $151.08 (amount confirmed at checkout)

  • Literally went to JB this morning to buy one for my partners brother, asked for his best price which was $1800 (knowing they had 15% off a few weeks back made it hard to swallow). Got home and got the email with this coupon.. Couldn't believe it!

    • I'm sure they could refund the difference.

Sorry, didn't write that very well. We didn't buy at $1800 because we knew the price had been cheaper before ($1613 with 15%). Went back WITH the coupon and got it :)

        • Woo. They should have thrown in some extras for wasting your time. :p

        • @Circly:

Haha if only! Didn't get to see the original guy we dealt with either :(

  • would this be suitable as a business laptop?

    • Yes, depending on the work you do I think this laptop will be suitable for MS office packages, reporting and maybe some graphics work and database stuff..

      Review from the website:

      Excellent Mainstream Gaming Laptop
      19 October 2015
Yes, I would recommend this product
Great package for those looking for a powerful laptop for work and gaming. Screen quality is pretty decent and cooling is really great. Laptop got around 4500 graphics score in firestrike. Easy access to internals ( open one screw) and can upgrade ram, m.2 ssd and hard drive. I added in an m.2 2280 ssd and it worked great. I have to say, i think Dell has a home run here.
Pros:easily upgradeable, quad core processor, 960 m graphics
Cons:screen could be a bit brighter

Overkill for a business laptop unless you are planning on also gaming.

      • This, ridiculously overkill.

        • good if you want to overkill your business ;)
