I had a look at some ex display stock Plasma's and LCD's in DJ's North Brisbane today and as an example a Sony Bravia 52" LCD Full Hd Screen was reduced from $4299 to $1999 written in red ink on the lable and still available (photo can be provided if needed). 2 of them sold on Grays online (ex demo) the same night with no warranty for $1400 plus $200 postage and 15% sellers fee making the deal reasonably attractive.

Well worth a look.

New LCD's and Plasmas reasonable cheap if you haven't got the time to browse hundreds of sites and play one store off the other you could pick up a cheap TV with little hassell.

    I bought the 55" sony bravia from david jones yesterday for 2149 - 3 inches for 200 bucks ;p

    I bought the 40" V series off the floor at David Jones Newcastle for $997. The W series was only about $100 more. They give an additional 5% off for floor stock. Additional 3 year warranty (DJ's warranty) was $99. Paid with gold credit card so have another year as well. Excellent TV, but in hindsight I wish I paid the extra for the W series.

    I thought this was a good buy considering I left the house with the intention of buying the Aldi 42" Bauhn for $849.

      tough call , why did you decide v over w series

      doesnt the extra year on your gold credit card count as year 2…..so if you extended your warranty wouldnt you have double the coverage for year 2

        Decision at the time. Warranty went up to $200 as TV was over $1000. Think I liked the idea of getting a Sony under $1000.

        You could be right with the warranty.
