also grab some cheap hose if you are planning a dirty weekend.
indeed … but is it worth the thirty bux.
Performer 1400W Pressure washer is priced at $59 in store and online.
http://www.kmart.com.au/product/pressure-washer---1400w/7578…So i reckon this definitely worth more than thirty bux….
Don't judge a Pressure Washer by the PSI on the labelling, especially the cheapo ones.
It's actually the volume of water (supplied under pressure) that matters.
I remember last time I was reading the description, it said Aluminium pump. So might last a bit longer, but don't expect good quality.
Aluminium pump is probably THE WORST material, as it will corrode like a bastard.
The only way to make such a thing survive more than a few months would be to fill it with radiator fluid after every use, and somehow stop it leaking out during storage.
@llama: Oh bought a gerni recently with aluminum pump :( Cant be bothered to fill that up after every use.
Gerni may have a stainless steel liner on the pump cylinder.
Truly, you really need to look after these things or the pumps die. Just a bit of pitting and they are stuffed.
I have a petrol one with a brass pump, and I still chuck some antifreeze in it when I remember.
Looks like a very descent price.
It's a slippery slope, ever downwards? Or a price with known ancestry?
Actually, it's coming in for landing.
decent*
typo error…….:)Are you trying to find out the provenance of a Kmart pressure washer?
1. Raw materials dug out of Australian dirt
2. Materials turned into a pressure washer in China
3. Pressure washer sold at Kmart
Last time I bought a cheap pressure washer it overheated and shut down for half hour every 15 minutes. Couldnt clean my driveway /patio with it.
Maybe you should have blasted it with water every 5 minutes. Water cooling.
I have one of these cheapos and have run it for hours continuously doing patio work.
Next time I would probably spend a few hundred on a petrol powered one, but the reliability is there.
2 year warranty as well.
I wonder how this performs
It's a known Performer ;)
I got 5 years out of my Gardener's Choice BigW 1200W one, costed me $99 several years ago, wasn't used much though
alright for the average user, maybe get a few years out of it
Would this be any good for occasionally getting bird crap off my car?
cheap and nasty the way i like it!
