I have the same 10400 dinosaur as you. The latest one features a lipo battery and is super sleek and seems to be more intelligent and versatile. I'm going to wait for this one to hit the $20 mark before upgrading :)

I wouldn't call either of them particularly 'slim'. The new one is slimmer but they both use cylindrical cells.
Slim ones use pouch-style cells.

I recommend people also get a sticky silicon case for these powerbanks, they are fragile and very slippery, two have broken after falls just over 50cm from my coffee table.
