Yep you're right. Was just about to edit but then read your comment.
The dates I wrote are applicable for PER-DPS

Great prices nocure. Don't forget Jetstar's pricebeat guarantee…

  • I'm in the market for a good chepa holiday, but Tiger Air have been useless everytime I use them. Constant delays and cancellations.

Never experienced this to be honest, probably one of the most on time airlines i've flown with. Jetstar have been by far the worst for me.

      • I used to fly with them 2-4 times a week. That's why I probably encountered it more.

    • When I first flying with Tiger when they started many years ago, from Perth to Melb, my luggage weight was fine plus free stroller. And when we moved flight from Melb to OOC, they said my luggage was overweight and no free stroller. They weighted individual baggage and round up plus weigh the stroller too. And we have to pull out some clothes and wore them to reduce the weight. What a policy.

How do those arseholes keep getting away with illegal component pricing? Ah, lawyers found loophole.
They seem to get a stern letter or smack on the wrist from the ACCC every few years, but keep on going with slight modifications.
I wonder if they have a similar attitude to safety regulations?

So, want to avoid the extra fees?
Most debit cards in Australia are VISA, so you probably can't get a Mastercard one fromn your bank. The easier way is to get a prepaid one from the supermarket.
A bit of hassle, but worth it. Save $100 for a family of 4.

I use Qantas cash which is free and earns me QFF points as well :)

      • Thanks for that! I'd forgotten about that little chip in my frequent flyer card. Thanks heaps.

Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, Bankwest, Bendigo Bank and ME Bank offer a Mastercard Debit card as standard. Just some of the banks i know of which does.

      • Looks like Westpac does too, so my info was wrong. Our banks do not, so I thought the supermarket tip was useful (woolworths, i think.)
        Never heard of me bank.

    • No cc fee when you price match with Jetstar..plus 10% discount

    • try macquarie bank. no monthly fees. they even have a platinum debit.

  • No syd or bris love?

TigerAir don't fly to Bali from Sydney or Brisbane. You can fly with AirAsia from Sydney ($347 return).

      • Definitely no love then :(

        • Jetstar flies from Brisbane cheap. At these prices a connecting flight may be a bit cheaper.

    • Right now until 7 pm QLD time Jetstar has flights from BNE to DPS for $149. Travel period is 19 July to 7 September.

  • Ive had one trip from Adelaide to Sydney change 2 times for departure time coming up at Easter. Annoying, not 1-2 hours but 7-8 hours difference so fat.

  • Wish its $129 return
