and does this differ from you account number? i.e. 9 numbers beginning with an 0?
yep this one is 4 letters then 4 numbers eg ABCD1234

Very frustrating how I never get emails from ING or Me bank with their promo codes. Dunno why.
Is there another way to find/generate it?

Have the people who received this email all enabled emailed account statements?
Asked them about it via the ME bank internal mail & they said they only sent it to "selected customers"
yet another reason to dump them after the 5% finishes.. ING are still worth it cause of the 50c you get when withdrawing $200
@gringo: I've been caught out with that once or twice now with different companies. I don't want spam but I still want good offers! Have tended to opt out less now.
Yeah - might give ING a bell and see if something similar happened there.
Final update: they opted me in but nothing they can do about this promo.. oh well.

Just got the email with the referral code. I found it very hard to update the wiki using mobile because the list is sooooo long and to scroll to the bottom took me a very long time. I know it gets locked when it is updated and people complain you can never get in to add….so maybe if the list is refined since most of it is outdated…… It won't be as long and save time for everyone to add to it.
How many people got their money on the last offer? Never saw mine so its a neg from me.

I have referred few people in the past deals to ME and both me and referee got the money except for 1 case where guy i referred to didnt do the 3 $10 transactions
Never received the money from the last promos. After many phone calls, though it wasnt worth it and closed our accounts. This bank is a waste of time.
At least for promo's. has to be said though that many people did get their money so its a bit hit and miss ….

I note in the referral wiki that the referral codes have changed from all numbers to numbers+letters as of this promo today - do we know if the old ones are still valid? It's just if not there probably needs to be a bit of an updating to the wiki!
Wow, I didn't know this Wiki existed until now. Just added my name and the code they emailed me. I guess we'll have to change it back to the Account ID after the 23rd October?
I have never received a cent from these promos after I KNOW many people I referred met all the criteria. Also this is a targeted offer it seems.

Just wasted 2 hours of my life trying to set up a couple of accounts.
I never got to be able to log into my account when i had one with this lot…. numerous calls, can't email them because i can't log in, can't close account because i can't verify transactions, took them months to send me a freakin statement too, if you use apple devices, i'd avoid them, the money isn't worth the hassle
I can't even sign up. After going through the first page, the only options are 'save' and 'next' Clicking 'next' gives the error: Please select one product. Oh well.

Sorry this might be silly question - but since I haven't received the targeted email, do I just open a new account and then give my referral code to family and friends to receive the $50 but I won't get the $50 just for opening ME bank account and having the 3 transactions mentioned above?

You'd only have received the email if you were an existing customer. If you're not and want to open a new account then just use one of the referral codes in the wiki - if you fulfil the terms re the 3 purchases then you'll get the $50. Realistically though, by the time your account is open the current offer (for you to then refer others to join) may well have finished but they do seem to have fairly regular referral offers.
Is anyone else stuck at "You must select a product to continue" on the second page? There is no product to select after I put in my details at the front page and click next. The second page is a bare "Save" or "Next"?
Please PM the user whose referral you are using. It helps keeping track if someone has already referred 10 people
