Currently unavailable online. Managed to get 1 @Target High Point Vic, still 9 left around lunch today. So believe there are still many in stores, people might not notice of the price change because there was no mark down sign @ HPoint Target.
So if you want one can either call up or go directly to the nearest stores to check stock availability.

This cooker is still around $200 mark @ Harvey Norman, JB Hifi, Myer. TGG..etc

P.s: whoever bought it @previous deal and still new/unopen/& receipt, I believe you can get the different back :)

*Philips $30 cash back promotion: must purchase between 23/3/2016-22/5/2016
http://www.philips.com.au/c-w/promotions/philips-mother-sday…

Tip: most/all stock should be gone by now so you wont be able to make any purchase anymore. So if you dont mind the hassel then do a return and repurchase your item again. Or maybe ask target to reissue new receipt without bringing back your cooker :) they might help :) goodluck 😜

Just refunded and bought again today.

    • Going to do the same with mine tonight

  • Does this use a stainless steel pot, or one of those non-stick contraptions?

    • It's non-stick. Instructions say not to scrape it with metal utensils.

      • Thanks.

These would last so much longer if they just stopped using non-stick.

  • +1

Ahhh dammit I already started using mine :(

  • I posted this last night, only to have it removed due to insufficient stock ie not available online. Store stock only.
If you previously bought one and store still has stock just buy another and return with previous receipt.
They are still ticketed at $239 at Newcastle stores.

my partner is already a slow cooker, but alas not a pressure cooker.

    • +1

So she needs a pressure cooker and become medium cooker :p

  • HOLY $#!%!!!!!!!!!!!

I just went back to the Good Guys two weeks ago to get them to price guarantee me the difference + 20% between the $180 I paid (bargained them down from their ticket price of $198) to match Target's $145, so I ended up getting it for $138. I wonder if I'm still within the 30 days if I can do it again?

Great machine though, would definitely recommend buying it. I'll never go back to a cheap slow cooker, pressure cooking all the way!

    • No, you can only do the price guarantee once per item.

  • Never had a cooker anything like this…. looks complicated?

    • +1

      It's not.

You can use it for pressure cooking or for your standard slow cooking. Slow / fast modes have their own sets of buttons.

The numerous buttons makes it look complicated but all it really controls is the time, heat intensity and whether it's pressurized or not.

You can watch these series of videos, they're there to help you get acquainted with it

I must admit, just throwing in chunks of meat & veg and whatever else for the sauce and just letting it slow cook does have appeal… if thats how it works… haha

      • Beat me to it. :P

    • It's really not. I haven't played with the delayed cooking function yet, but it looks simple enough in the manual, will try that soon.

Brown meat (Lamb shanks, ribs, any fatty meat that would normally take HOURS to cook), throw it in the pressure cooker with broth/sauce of your choice, maybe some veggies?

Pressure cook on the Meat/Poultry setting for 30-60 minutes (ribs 30, shanks I find take 60 but I had 4-5 big shanks in there).

      Melt in your mouth meat.

There are some great youtube videos of it too.

      • You're swaying me. Probably out of stock at my local but will give them a buzz.

    • +2

Yesterday just made a cake in it.
      Dead easy.
Non stick, you can also buy a spare stainless steel pot from 3rd party for about $30 or so.
We love ours, between that the soup maker and electric grill we haven't used the cook top or oven in ages.

      • also buy a spare stainless steel pot from 3rd party
From which supplier? I'd like to know just in case some of my parts fail

        • This one SHOULD fit. verify dimensions:
          http://www.ozhut.com.au/new-wave-6l-stainless-steel-inner-bo…
We got one and worked for us.
But cant recall if it was the same one.

        • @RobMel:

          Hi,

Just wondering whether you have any problems using it with stainless steel pot you mentioned. I am thinking to buy one but I prefer to use stainless steel inner pot.

          Thank you.

        • @starshowering:
No issaues with the stainless steel.
Just keep in mind it is NOT non stick.
          Good for soup and so.

      • Soup maker and grill? Are these on offer?

  • Can this cook rice?

    • Yes :)

      • Can this cook rice as good as dedicated rice cooker? ;)

  • I bought the breville slow cooker for 129 from good guys ebay sale, not sure whether to buy this and return the breville?

    • I would. This does a lot more than just slow cooking.

    • Return it, pressure cooker and slow cooker all in one, what do you think?

Also depends on whether you can find stock.

Guys, also remember bread maker, pasta maker and ice cream maker also cheaper now.

Have to laugh at guys here who have no idea what a product can do yet are sucked in that it must be great because it is reduced in price!

    • +7

We are true ozbargainers … :p Buy first ask later.

      • Too right!

      • Lol :)

For Sydneysiders: none left in Bondi, Broadway, Leichhardt or Chatswood. Perhaps some in Miranda, Eastgardens & Liverpool.

    • Did you check Rhodes too

    • Nothing left at eastgardens

I ordered one when it was on 30% and after seeing 50% discount post, i had a chat with target on facebook and they refunded the difference which was about $40.50. I didn't have to do anything else but just told them my online order number :-)

    • How can you online order when I first saw this deal already unavailable online.

      • About a week ago online purchase was available but not anymore :-)

  • How does this compare to the $70 bellini pressure cooker sold at target?

    • For the price difference I would go for the well know brand.

  • Any one know if it also does rice?

    • Photo of it show rice word on it..so yes! ^^

  • I can't wait to…•Saltue/Sea with high/low temp my food? ? ? ?

Just spoke to a lady in homewares @ the Carindale store. She checked their system said there's none left in Queensland.

    • +1

Don't believe their system, some called Warringah Mall said no stock but I just left there they have a lot of stock.

  • Tried to find one, and tried to get price match. Yeah, no. lol

  • About 7 left at Target Newton in SA. Price is still displayed as $145 but scans at $104.50.

  • Does target still give $10 off vouchers on the back of their receipts?

  • Apart from brand, this should be little difference than the target $69 one, as well as Aldi $59 one. I own the later, worth every cent, particularly with 3 year warranty.

  • Guys I got this recently, came with this little rubber thing that you put on top of the lid and goes up and down, its called the floater valve. Thing is soon as you turn your lid upside down to watch it drops out, so lost that in 1 day. Not sure what the effects are on cooking but I feel like it takes longer now to get to its 'pressure' state.

    • You mean the red valve? I think it shouldn't drops out.

Just open mine have a look the red valve is already in there and cannot remove.

      • Not the red valve, it was a tiny tiny less then 1 CM rubber thing that came in the box separate. Stupidest design, almost through it out thinking it was part of the packaging.

    • I never saw the floater valve on mine upon unboxing it. I think the floater valve may serve only as a visual indicator of whether the cooker is pressurized or not.

      • I was thinking this also and I hope so.

  • No more at Southgate, Reynella (Adelaide) - at least on show anyway
    thanks OP :)

Went to Target Buwood (NSW) - they only had floor stock.

When to DJ and they matched the price.

Reason I always go to DJ after looking around

Got the last one at Southland this afternoon. The girl said they had five when she started at 5pm and they'd sold all but the display model by the time I turned up just before 6pm. I wonder how many were snatched up by Ozbargainers? Since mine was the display model and was missing the cook book (which I just downloaded from the Philips website) they gave it to me for $95. Good deal!

Picked up one at Target Highpoint at 6:00 after work. One left on shelf.

  • 2-3 units left at the Target in Westfield Marion, SA

  • Any stock in Brisbane, called up 3-4 stores but nothing :(

    • You better go and check it out or anybody checked it out here.

Sometimes they gave out misleading stock level.

      • too lazy to go knocking at each store :(

  • I am considering whether I need one of these..

    • +1

As a ozbargainer buy first think later.

Had one put on hold at Castle Plaza, SA, this afternoon and just picked it up. The shelf was empty so pretty sure they are now out of stock. Cheers OP, had one of these on the shopping list for a while.

    • +1

Yep, we called there around 7pm, none left in stock, although it seemed like guy had no idea what he was talking about! Lucky we got the last one at Unley.

  • Bought the last one at Unley SA tonight. Thanks for posting OP.

Our family has never owned a pressure cooker before….sorry we are too old fashioned..

    Does this use much electricity?

    • +1

Actually as they are sealed they are quite economical.
When cooking open the energy is mainly wasted in water transitioning from water to gas.
As the unit is sealed and under pressure that happens less.
      Physics

  • I managed to get one from Big W price matched.

    • How to do this when target page shows out of stock online? Can you post a receipt?

  • The overseas version of this product is better the Taiwan version comes with many Asian receipts and functions for them eg. Congee and soups
