Price Dropped this weekend.

Amazon.com always has cheaper stock than local Aussie kit for the latest ram, aka. DDR4 SODIMMS.

Static Ice has these at A$400+ and rarely in stock.

As of this post the price dropped to US$171 —- it was US$205 on Friday, for the 2 x 16GB sticks.

Other OZB prices are for 4x8GB sticks which is no good if u only have 2 slots.

Also note, this is DDR4 and not DDR3L.

As such, this is ideal for the latest 6th Gen Intel SKYLAKE NUC's (compatibility confirmed).

Lifetime Warranty.

Added bonus buying from OS is the stronger AUD in recent weeks…

Enjoy!

For anyone like me who has recently ordered a Dell Alienware laptop using the 'ctechie' 20% off, this makes a great addition. I ordered the Alienware 17 R3 with minimum specs and have now bought this RAM to upgrade from 8GB to 32GB (and Crucial is certified to work with it) and also bought a 500GB Samsung EVO ssd from Futu. Should have quite a machine once it's all installed :)

    • well played.. ;)

    • So I guess it must be true when they say you can never have too much RAM.

  • Thanks! Yes, the difference between the $2799 version and the $3199 was only an upgrade from 8GB to 16GB and the inclusion of an extra 250GB ssd. Now, for not too much more, I have a 500GB ssd and double the ram. Very happy, and nice timing for the ram to come down in price.

Total cost for Alienware 17 R3 with i7-6700HQ, 32GB ram, GTX970m, 500GB ssd + 1TB HDD = $2677. Plus it comes with a free Alienware Graphics Amplifier which if you didn't need could be sold for about $200.

    • dell are always rip offs for RAM and STORAGE uprgades, if u can do it urself ur heaps better off.

dont forget, u can on-sell ur 8GB spare ram now for another $50 or so… :)
