Good, if you need a small netbook for internet access, simple uses. Otherwise, CPU is just too weak. Single channel RAM & no turbo kills it for me, which is a shame because I like having netbooks for my work.

Still, might be of interest as per the above— light use.

    • change hdd to ssd wont help?

What speed S-ATA is it? You might eke out some access speed, but the CPU is pretty bad…

    12 x USB 2.0 port(s)

    NICE!

  • 4g or 4 gb o ram?

ROFL, this CPU will just crawl no matter how light the task is. Hell, I would celebrate every time it runs pass the Windows start up screen

    No kidding

No offense to Rep but no one should buy a laptop with this kind of performance

    • There seems to be quite a few Core2Duo cpu's below it on this list: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/low_end_cpus.html

I don't ever recall my Core2Duo machine struggling to load windows. Sure it's a slow CPU, but it's a $200 netbook - what do you expect?

I think the real reason that I wouldn't recommend this (for appropriate uses) is that the battery life is poor for what it is ~4hrs.

      • What can I expect? I expect it to at least run without lagging all the time. Have you used the 2010 era netbooks with the first generation Atom? Even on XP they were a nightmare, now throw Win8/Win10 in it and they would just flat out die.

4hrs battery life is very standard with most budget laptop. I would trade 2 more hours with a better Intel CPU like z8300 or so.

        • I still have one of the first gen atom netbooks - granted it's been relegated to a torrent box now. It was slow, it was a single core atom chip, but it still worked fine other than HD decoding (which newer chips do handily)

I've found that anything can run terribly if you run a terrible system, and the inverse to some extent. I've been running i3 CPU's for the last few years because I can keep my PC running pretty well when I can tweak it how I want (I rarely game) - I don't need anything better. Conversely, my work laptop is an i5 with 8gb of RAM and it often all but hangs and becomes unresponsive due to the administration of it (intrusive AV, installation and updating of apps I don't use, etc).

I see this netbook as being competition for the HP Stream range - and it stacks up against them pretty well.

    • I think it's actually a tablet CPU dropped into a netbook…

I'd grab one at $99 as an internet access device & toss some lite Linux on it, perhaps, or maybe this?
