  • HS is great for sales, most of my home products are from there. However we only buy on sale items (40-60% off) and thankfully they have big sales every week. I received this email too, so this means we get to use this discount because we're counted as 'friends'?

  • I find their RRP to be over inflated but 20% on top of their existing catalogue offers is pretty good. Shame its midweek and the stores aren't open late. Thanks for the post.

  • Yeah, beware of their over inflated prices. I was interested in purchasing a dutch oven from them and they claimed that the RRP was over $500 but was discounted to $200. I came home to check and saw an online site selling it for around the same or lower than their "discounted price". Another time, they were selling the V-slicer with a RRP of about $80, discounted to $40-50. Target was selling the same one for $28. I'd never buy anything from them.

    • "Dutch ovens" for $500?! I can't even afford a fart these days! ;-)

  • C'mon people - you never ever believe a store ever sold anything anywhere near those RRP's did you? Maybe when they're first released and all the 'keep up with the Jones' types buy them, but not after the first two weeks. Harris Scarfe particularly seem to be in perpetual sale mode.

  • dam i need a new shoe rack.. to bad i got work on wednesday. hate how S.C close so early :(

  • I don't understand this one. So do I have to pretend to be friends with someone who works at the store?

    • +1

Haha, no. The last time they had this, there was a lady giving out the flyer to all and sundry at the front of the store. I don't think you even need a print out to get that discount. Just another gimmick to get you in store, really. To check out their less than impressive prices, no less.
