Can you post working link? (or could Mobileciti please confirm?) -thanks

      • after applying ebay 10% = AUD581.22 which is still higher than the jb deal last month at 547 :(

  • Apparently there are Snapchat issues with the phone?

Also if I do take the leap and get this phone, are there any nice cases anyone would recommend?

    • Only issue I have is sometimes the snapchat camera shows black, have to reset phone to fix.

  • Yes there are ,, Tudia sim cases are awsome.. however you need to buy from Amazon US.. will cost you around 20

    • Do you know what kind of issues? Aren't there Snapchat issues on most Android phones?

  • How much are they normally?

  • Really looking for a 6P deal. Going oversea early March.

  • Hey TA, just wondering how you receive the proper tax invoice if paying via Paypal. Is it included in the package that's posted?

    • Yes, Invoice will be dispatch with goods.

    I bought a 5x a few weeks back, I love it.

    • Light
    • Fingerprint scanner is in the perfect position and works flawlessly (for me)
    • Camera is great
    • No crap pre-installed
    • Good battery (see below)

If you are comfortable with unlocking the boot loader and rooting (which is now almost fool proof with Nexus Root Toolkit then you can install a custom kernel which after tweaking (again easy) gives me between 3-5 days of battery life per charge under light to medium usage.

For me the phone is super smooth using Nova launcher + a few xposed framework mods (ad-block, boot manager, amplify, greenify) on the standard rom. You can also enable optical image stabilisation for video that comes standard on the 6 but editing a single line.

I grabbed the spiegen thin fit case from eBay for $15 and so far so good.

  • Is the nexus 5x warranty 1 or two years ? I thought google give two years if you buy from the play store - but ebay site says one year for LG products.

    • in the description of the 5X it says it's 2 years

  • +1

google warranty and support it top notch, buying from a retailer won't be as good if something goes pear shaped. Just something to consider…

    • +1

Aren't they go for the same RMA process?

      • In my experience with google they will send you a phone before you have to send your old phone back. Thus no time period where you are without a phone. Will these guys do that for you? Not sure…

    • Totally agree. Google's RMA process was an absolute breeze. The customer service rep was a pleasure to deal with too

  • Price for LG G4 listed on Mobilecity site is $602.20.
Somehow the price for it in their e-bay store is $609. Shouldn't it be the same?

    • No. The store needs to pay ebay fees — just like how we get charged 9.9 percent Final Value Fee everytime we sell something, stores that are subscribed to the Anchor package still needs to pay between 4 to 6 percent to eBay for technology items.

They also need to pay a monthly fee to eBay, which is either $50 a month or $500 a month depending on which package they chose.

The price difference you see is peanuts compared to what PCCG is doing on their ebay site.

i7 CPU is $529 from PCCG store not incl. shipping

$571 from ebay store though free shipping is provided. I'd say this is a good $20 to 25 dollars more than buying it from the shop.

  • This is us model, not sure the network support, just see the price is good, less than AUD $400 with the 10% code.

  • Is LG G4 a good bet? I own S3 - I missed the S5 super sale from HN.

I read G4 has the best features camera - which is what I need. I wish the price is lower. How often LG will update this phone? I tend to keep phone for 3-4 years.

Nexus 5x sounds popular here but I am not a really advance user to muck around with the rooting etc.

  • Does it come with the USB-C to USB or is it USB-C on both sides?

    • USB-C to USB-C

You'll need to buy a USB Male to USB-C cable or adapter to plug it into your computer.

  • Just purchased a 5X:) Hopefully it arrives by Friday! I did express

  • Thank you OP, after thinking over it and going through a few solid hours of G4 reviews, pulled the trigger!

Well, I just did the most stupid thing I've done all year.

I forgot to use the code. Lost $51 just like that.

Woke up today, my Nexus 5 touch-screen stopped working, and it made it start looking for a new phone. I've always wanted to upgrade my Nexus 5, and thought it was the perfect move. Saw this deal, and was a bit distracted and overly excited, and bought the Nexus 5X 32GB from the website without putting in the code.

I've emailed them to see if I can still get the refund, even though it was my own silly mistake. Here's hoping!

EDIT: Refund meaning the cost-difference, I still need to buy the phone. I mean, technically they said 'any Australian Retailer', so maybe this will work!

    • Contact ebay too, they might refund you

    • +1

EDIT 2: Currently discussing with Store Rep. Some of the best customer service I've ever received so far

      • +1

EDIT 3: Store Rep helpfully and promptly cancelled my order with no fee. I have re-ordered the product and am very happy with the customer service. Can't recommend them enough

  • Hi, I'm thinking of buying the LG G4. So just in case anything happens to the phone I can just go to your store in Parra to get it fixed with the 2 Year Warranty? Thanks in advance :)

    • hi

any warranty issue will be forward to local LG service, our store can also send to service center on you behalf, but we are not authorise to repair phone in our store.

      • Ok thanks I bought one, can't wait for it to come in :)

        • Thanks, stock are ready for dispatch, should be dispatch on Monday!

  • +1

How about a special price for LG G4 32GB rep? Going oversees early March so hoping to get GST back and would like to buy from local supplier. Thanks heaps

    • G4 $548 inc gst shipped, you will not get any better on march.

  • For TRS claim, do I need to put all back into the box like new condition?

And can I bring packaging back (box etc) for warranty purpose?

And how long queue at the airport?

    • Queue was crazy when I flew to Tokyo a few weeks back - I waited 1h45m and hadn't even made it into the TRS room and then needed to leave for my flight. I'd recommend leaving at least 3 hours before boarding time.

    • If you have a 6am flight like me make sure you get there early…

Queue was there from 4:40am, TRS was meant to open at 5:00am but opened late at 5:15am. I just got my refund but many people had to leave the line to go to their flights..!

Echo the comment regarding 3 hours before boarding - that is if you can check in that early… at least if the line is long you can get it done, if its short then plenty of time for wifi.. :)

      • Sounds bad. If I have QR code, will it help?

        • Not really, cause everyone else also has one. If not they do it while in queue. Get in early for TRS.

Packaging not required, just the phone. Heck when I went for my TRS they didnt even look at my tablet.

        • It helps to have the QR code to speed up your own transaction.

Have the item available to show them though. When I went there were a few people ahead who were rifling through their luggage looking for the item in question as the TRS folk wanted to sight it prior to providing the refund (which is what they are supposed to do anyways).

    • you don't need the box, just the main item (phone in this case)

  • Bought the LG G4. Cheers TA!
