Sure but you will get Marshmallow and the next release on OnePlus either officially or unofficially. Forget about updates on that Lenovo.

The OnePlus devices are second only to Nexus devices when it comes to dev community.

        • +8

That has to be the most retarded comment ever.

      • Um … wut?

    • +2

You'd rather go for the one with the weaker SoC, worse screen, worse cameras, shittier design, less software support, and much smaller modding community… Because it has… More eMMC and 1GB more RAM? The first being solved with Marshmallow, and the second being a gimmick for 99% of people? Go right ahead, leave the X's for the rest of us.

      • -5

go for it. have your X.

wouldn't spend the money on a one plus X because I don't need those specs to for playing candy crush, making calls and browsing the web.

buying one is superfluous and beyond my needs (and the needs of most people).

        • +1

So then why would you rather have the Lenovo? You'd rather have a worse phone on purpose? God you really know someone's lost the argument when they pull that bullshit out of their arse.

        • +1

Why did you even buy a Lenovo, it sounds like you wasted your money.

        • +1

@deanylev: if they hadn't already purchased the phone they wouldn't be defending their honour by making up stupid crap to justify their bad decision.

        • @Diji1: Ahahahaha exactly

        • no, I didn't waste my money when I bought my K3 note. I wanted a phone with a better camera and that is what I got.

A fast responsive phone with a very good camera. that is what I wanted and that is what I got.

          it cost me Au$150.

I fail to see the nned to buy a One Plus (or a samsung) they fall into the iPhone category - glorified.

I've been negged and couldn't give a rats arse as I fail to see the point of paying AU$300 for a phone.

I'll tell you a secret - a $50 phone will make calls as well as a $1000 phone.

it's just the added features that you should consider.

to deanylev - I'd rather have a less expensive phone to do everything I want than a more expensive phone which does everything I want.

to Diji - yawn. i bought a phone to make calls, browse the interwebz, play candy crush and take decent photos. it does that so……………I have what I need for the price that I paid - which is half the price of the one plus X

sorry to every one , I must be really stupid to not want to pay top price for a phone to do what I want for half the price for a phone will do what i want.

        • +4

          @altomic: lol.

Except you started talking about flagships and recommended a phone just as expensive???

No (profanity) shit you can buy a cheaper phone that can still make calls, which is a small fraction of what people do with mobiles now.

          (profanity) retard.

        • +2

So why are you replacing your phone every 18 months?
I can play candy Crush on a ~5 year old Galaxy S2!
And I'd hazard a guess that the Galaxy S2 camera is still competitive, if not better than any Chinese phone.

        • +2

@altomic: Hahahaha you're comments are toxic. You just keep changing from point to point. We were never talking about the K3 Note in the first place. They're glorified eh? Because not everyone has the same needs you do? The K3 Note is mediocre, and there's much improvement over it in other phones. A $50 phone will make calls as well as a $1000 phone? Even that's not true! Phone's from companies like Motorola put an emphasis on call quality with advanced high quality mic arrays, and even Oneplus emphasize that.

You're probably shouldn't even be using a smartphone judging by your intelligence..

      • -4

probably one of the dumbest comment on the internet.

        • +1

Your comments seem to be the dumbest on the internet

  • Which model is this?

    • Oh you know, the one in the title…

    • Some people from the previous sale clams its the E1003 which contains the correct network bands for AU

      • correct AU network bands on commodity chinese phones gets my interest, would be nice to get a chinese phone that supports the optus /telstra 700mhz band 28. Telstra paid $650M for the 700mhz spectrum and it seems to be where Optus and Telstra are putting a lot of effort at the moment in roll-out and development.

    • +1

My apologies, I didn't know there were multiple models of the X

  • +2

Correct E1003 (EU, IN variant) is the closest match for use with AU network bands, the Chinese variant is missing lot of bands use by AU telcos.

Don't think it does much more than my sons Redmi Note 2 except cost $70 US more (the Redmi note2 in white was even cheaper $113 US) and have a smaller screen, my 8 year old who I bought the phone for likes 5-1/2" screens better than 5" ….. kids love phablets.

the market is flooded with these cheap 1080p phones for under $160 US, all have similar specs. and none support all our 4G bands.

It's a nice deal but I'm not buying from JD again. Have been given the complete run-around by their "customer service" team after my Xiaomi Pistons were stolen from the box during shipping (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/229272). They now refuse to deal with me unless I provide a video of the first time I opened the box! (which I'm obviously going to do with all items bought online from now on)

Actually. if anyone buys from this deal would appreciate if you wouldn't mind posting the wording of the 'description' on the shipping label? Interested to see if they expose the exact contents (i.e. make and model) on the outside of the box for a higher value item (like a phone).

    Dont buy from jd.com

Im yet to receive sd card, its been more than a month!!

  • +1

It was a pain dealing with JD but finally was able to get the refund of Meizu Note 2 after the return of the faulty phone.

  • Girlfriend switched from an iPhone to this bad boy recently and she likes it. It needs a few more updates but it isn't too bad. The screen punches you in the face with its colours..

I bought one from the old sale / deal posted on OZB.

Ordered and paid 16 Dec 2015 tracking says shipped but still waiting, so dont expect it to arrive too quickly.

    • I bought mine on the Dec 10 and still nothing… They dont seem to reply with anything worthwhile, they just say to be patient….

  • How can you determine which model you have (eg E1001, E1002, E1003)?

  • Price has gone UP :(

    • Price back to normal :)

  • I bought 1 at 10Dec and have received it 2 weeks ago.
    mine is E1003

  • +1

Ok so I bought mine 27th December and it arrived last Friday (22nd Jan). LOVING oneplus X ownership so far (its the E1003). So glad I didn't take note of people saying it will be crap. and to spend the extra on a more common brand phone.
