2kg is pretty pointless for people who make coffee at home, since it will be long stale before it's finished.

Not everyone lives alone, but have you tried freezing beans before? It's not as bad as you think.

      • +1 I carefully package beans into smaller bags, then vacuum seal and freeze. Bring them to room temp in sealed bag as needed.

        Spot on!

    • Hello
Thank you for your concern. Our coffee is freshly roasted and posted within 24 hour after roast, this adds to the shelf life. As someone already suggested, if you are the only person who drinks coffee in your family, you can put them in several bags and freeze them (lets say 200 gram each). So if you purchase 2 kg coffee, open 1bag and separate them in a zipped sandwich bags and freeze themand leave the other bag alone till you need them and do the same thing with the other bag.

Use only when you need and put them bag in the freezer.

I also found that our coffee retains its flavour for up to 30 days if you put them in a several sealed containers. Do no place the whole 1 kg in one big container. The idea is to keep the coffee in a sealed container as long as it takes without having to open and close the lid.

      Hope this helps

      Thanks again
      Ivan

I'm a fan of Sweet Yarra coffee. I'm also a fan of the other regular coffee retailer on here. I think both supply great beans with good service and quick delivery. I order from both. For some reason Sweet Yarra never gets as many votes despite, in my opinion, being of equal quality and value. I'm ok for beans at the minute but keep on putting the offers up please.
