Zavvi have some pretty cheap DVD boxsets going on at the moment, so though I'd share a few I found (and bought myself!):

They're all Region 2 as far as I can see so they should work ok. You might have to pay shipping, depending on how much you spend, but it's fairly cheap (and supposedly terrible – it's taken ages before, but I always received my orders in good condition. Buyer beware, I guess).

      Because there is currently no Avatar collection on Blu-Ray AND it's cheaper

        When I went to JB HI FI on boxing day, the Avatar DVDs were part of a 3 for $30 deal. Not sure if this is still going

      I am not entirely certain that "Xena - Warrior Princess" was filmed in HD. In fact, it wasn't even widescreen.
      Digital purchase isn't really an alternative either with the bandwidth's I'm getting.

    If you care about the quality of the box, be careful shopping with Zavvi. I bought the pixar collection from them, and there was literally no protection on the packaging (it came in a standard packaging bag, not even a box!).

    As you would expect with normal transport over long distances, the case was not in good shape when it came in (the discs were still fine).

    Any idea what the region protection is for Avatar? IIRC we're the same region as the UK for blu rays but not DVDs.

      Correct. I imagine it would be Region 2 protected, but also should be pretty easy to make your DVD/BR player region-free if it isn't already.

      On the Zavvi page, under Product Details, it says it's Region 2. Not sure about PS4 or XBone compatibility though …

        Yeah they always say they're a certain region but fairly often they're multi-region and they just label them differently for different markets.

        regionfreemovies.com shows blu rays that are region free but doesn't have DVDs

        Just asking if anyone has the UK boxset and has used it on an AUS device.

    I ordered 2 box sets when this was posted. Paid through PayPal (successfully) and the money has been taken from my bank account.

    Getting emails from them now saying there is a problem with my order as there was an issue with my payment. Telling me to resolve it with PayPal. THey've verified the payment went in.

    Weirdly in the Zavvi account it says one item dispatched, the other not as there was an issue with the payment. Going around in circles with their offshore call-centre support.

    Any tips?
