You would almost have to have rocks in your head to buy less than 500gb with the price hitting 99 these days although thats my opinion.
Not necessarily, the cost per GB is about the same for these versus $99-ish for a 500gb, and most people won't need that much space.
yep, my motivation for getting one of these would be for backing up photos when on holiday, so 320GB is more than enough (until 100 megapixel cameras start being released!)

I picked one up today - it looks like the grey ones come in a clamshell casing whereas the white ones come in a box. My recommendation is, get a white one; I just went through hell just trying to get my grey one out. :P
Got mine at around 5:30pm at the Hawthorn, VIC one. They had about 7 of each colours left. By the time I was out of the store 3 more people came lol. They told me they sold 60 that day and the sale only started today hahaaha. Great bargain!

Yes you can buy in the shop, but I went after work to the one in Hawthorn East (VIC) and they had sold 90 out of 100ish. So chances of getting one today are slim.
Can someone please confiirm if the HDD is removable from the enclosure?
I ordered on line around 8pm 1st March, got a call this morning - none available at Hawthorn for pickup.
I was offered one from Qld - but with additional postage costs of $12.
Cancelled the order as I'm sick of these limited offers via their catalogues - then either get told no stock - or bait and switch offers.

Picked up mine today (after ordering on phone on Monday).
Guy told me these were from a promotion - either they get the 320gb with a certain laptop or a cheaper price off the laptop. Most people went with a cheaper price which is why they had these left over.
