He means the other deal you actually received a 10% off the purchased price where as this deal you pay full price and only received a gift card and you will need to actually spend more money to use the GC. Works out to be much less than the 10% discounts. Am I right?

Depends what you want. If you are a dark beer drinker like myself, or Belgian beer drinker, or any strong ale fan, you are sh#t out of luck finding anything at all to buy at First choice. Some of the beers I drink, DM is the only place at all I can get them. So suites me fine. I've had so many coupons from First choice this year from subscription, including a single use $20 off 70, but I could rarely find anything to buy.
I'd definitely recommend though if you do get stuff from First choice, subscribe to their newsletter.

NP. Even worse is what is instore, even though my local FC is pretty huge. As big as all three of my closest DMs put together.
