This mixed Shiraz 12 pack includes 3 bottles each of:

Bec Hardy McLaren Vale Shiraz 2023 - 94 points, Wine Pilot, 2024
"An utterly delicious McLaren Vale Shiraz. The colour is a vibrant dark purple. The nose is full of notes of chocolate biscuits, rich mocha and coffee grinds, with blackberries and mulberries. There is grip, length and good intensity. Real length here. Enjoy this now, but it will continue to provide pleasure for the next decade. Absolutely stonking value. Love it!"

Lakeside Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2022 - 93 points Wine Pilot, 2023
"From a superb vintage in the Langhorne Creek region, this is stunning stuff. Contender for value of the year. Dark purple in colour, we have chocolate, licorice, plums, cloves, dry herbs and spices, with an overlay of cassis all showing good focus and fine tannins, with a lingering finish. The palate sees more chocolate emerge. The wine is soft and generous with a supple texture so enjoyable to drink over the next five to eight years. This really is amazing value."

Family Crest SA Shiraz 2022 - 93 points Wine Pilot, 2024
"A deep purple, magenta colour here, this is powerfully aromatic. This is a concentrated and slightly earthy style of Shiraz. Big and bold with black fruit notes, chocolate, bay leaves and beefstock. As we move to the palate, the flavours of sweet mocha, coffee beans and dark chocolate move to the fore. There is good focus and intensity and the wine offers firm tannins with good length. It is one for enjoying now and for the next eight years. Really good value, especially if you enjoy the bigger, bolder and more burly style of Shiraz."

@wisdomtooth I think we might be comparing cheese to coal here.

      Cheers! RD :-)

      • I see a bottle for $40 and another for $43; is that a better deal? 🤔

        • +1

Makes this deal look even better! ;-))

  • Bought one, I wouldn’t even know how to drink it (absolute newbie to wines) so if you could add any information packs to ORDER #26174 id appreciate it

    • +1

Howdy @Fayble1212 - you're at the very start of a lifelong journey! All the info you'll need to enjoy these wines is available on the website with all of the vineyard locations, dates they were picked and where they're from.
Some borader resources on how to drink might be worth looking at but red's are served at room temperature (think around 16-18c), then pop around 140-160ml in a glass and that will at least get you started! The rest from there is a joy of discovery. Enjoy! RD :-)

You might find, starting out with Shiraz, that the tannins are a bit of a kick. Drink it slowly.

As mentioned by Richard red wines are great just below 20c, I throw my reds into the fridge for half an hour before drinking. Store the leftovers in the fridge too, they’ll last longer.

      • +1

@freefall101 good advice. Reds: 30 mins in the fridge before drinking in summer. Whites: 30 mins out….
Leftovers not a problem at ours- but you can keep to cook with at a later date or make Vin Cotto :-)

  • Bought. Thank you very much RD for the deal. Looks good!

Always chill my reds. Interestingly tonight, having a Taylors Clare Valley/Limestone Coast Shiraz and it has a sticker on the bottle that says "Chill this wine to 16-18 degrees" and more interestingly a temp indicator on the back!!?? Blowed how that works. And defintely leave any left over in fridge esp over the summer heat. It's organic fruit juice and will go off faster left out after opening.

    • +1

@debo Thanks very much! Re the leftovers in the fridge I've not heard of it slowing the oxidisation of the wine but it seems to work for you and @freefall101, so I'm all in! Try the Vin Cotto though even with any that does go off. Store the bits of leftovers up and do a 750ml batch at some stage - or use it for cooking. We do the same with whites :-)
