Seems pretty decent if anyone is in the market, specially the 30% of car sound and accessories. Includes, speakers, alarms, subwoofer packs, amps….so on so fourth. Offer valid in stores and online it says. Hope it wrks for some pp.

JB hifi do this all the time, its really annoying.
My friend works for JB and she told me that this is definately not true. Prices were not changed and everytime a customer comes in for this bargain it is well below cost price for them.
yeah sure JB only makes 10% mark up for LCD tvs and sells at a loss at 10%-30% off. thats how they made 28% more profit last year. stop spouting BS.

this is partly true, most TV's are between 5-20% profit margin before markdowns, so some TV's will be marked down below cost. The more competitive catagorys like 42-46" and "budget lcds"(like the ones you see for 500-1000) are at the lower end of GP. Accessories like HDMI cables and warrantys are the things with huge profit, HDMI cables at $50 retail cost the store about $10
yep and perform just as well as a $5 hdmi cable off of ebay.

Just to be clear. It was the 50" s10 panasonic plasma. it was 1869 or so and now its up to 2080 or so after this 10% sale. The 50" has been seen on here before for around 1699 or less. so the price they're saying now (2080 - 10% = 1850 or so), is not a bargain, its the same price they had before, and its more than its been listed on this site for previously. I challenge you to find one tv on that list which is truly a bargain.
This is the old question '10% of what?'.. Kmart used to do it when they used to have their xx% sales.
Not sure how it would work with a price challenge, previous experience has told me JB will come down to get close to competition, not necessarily match it. (experience was when Big W were selling the unlocked Nokia phones, ran out of stock, to took the catalogue into JB).

I remember on Boxing Day last year the ad said exactly the same thing i.e. does not apply to in-car navigation, but once I got there, it was simply 30% off everything. We'll it was like that at JB Werribee Plaza anyway…
I'm very certain you should be able to get 30% off in car Nav units.
I recommend no one buys Kenwood GPS at the moment. New model coming out next month and it's much improved!!!

Earlier today they were advertising the 50" panasonic for $1850 or so. Now they're advertising it for 2080 or so with 10% discount. It seems they've just increased the prices to compensate for the 10% off. Unless someone can prove otherwise, this is a con, not a bargain.
