Lighten up fellas….yes i bought a heap of good stuff a few months ago when they had all sorts of members club rorts going on.
Hundered of dollars of B&D power tools, jag jeans, and adidas/nike footwear for cents on the RRP dollar.
The majority of stuff on their site is most definitely junk though - even if you exclude the cheap kids toys and wall letters etc much of it is factory seconds, short dated imported foods and odd clothing sizes and out of season stock.

yeah, I agree COTD sells mostly junk, just sometimes you can manage to get something useful, but then shipping fee kills it, just don't get hooked into their tactics.
While I mostly agree with your comment. As a staff member at fossil, j can most definitely say that about half of the watches they have on the site are new season stock, or stock that we continue for many years as it has become a standard. The Buchanon for example is one that came in this half of the year as a new season stock for about $279,and they sell for (if my memory serves me well) $179 which is pretty good given we never have sales. And when we do it's a bad sale.
But like I said, I mostly agree with your comment. COTD is a glorified reject shop.
Hmmm so much negativity, Do have anything positive to say about COTD. Like all online site there is good and bad bargains. Ozbargain is a site to point out possible bargains. If it is cheaper somewhere else or there are problems then post constructive comments. Your comments as basically are from someone who has a chip on their shoulder or axe to grind. Yes I brought from COTD and has been positive. I appreciate the OP for the time to let us know.

COTD business model is selling crap to people that they dont need at irresistable prices - its a known fact from boardroom level donw to end users of the site

anyone have used the Amex for the visa checkout?
I have added 2 different amex cards but it keeps failing and on those 2 amex statement get various verification charges $1.37.
I added a Visa card and able to pay it.
Had the same issue, was surprised that you could use AMEX for the Visa check-out.
Yeah the same thing happened to me. But finally when my statement came those charges disappeared. So don't worry :)
Thanks OP, ended up buying Guess fragrances. Had ordered some from Chemist Warehouse on the 18th November, but they were awaiting stock (still are 3 weeks on).

Visa checkout doesn't work for me on the site (Chrome and Firefox). The $20 discount gets applied when selecting VISA but after logging into Visa Checkout, it brings me back to the COTD screen with 'Be quick! Stock is not reserved until you place your order' at the top. Anyone else having this problem? It's a new Visa Checkout account with a Visa card linked.

Every store sells junk, I scour COTD daily, but only buy once a month or so, and have been happy with every purchase. I only purchase products I have researched and buy brands I trust. They have filled my cupboards with Pyrex, Decor, Wegner, Samsung, Phillips and Skullcandy products, as well as being a great source of manchester, socks, stockings, thongs and trinkets. Caveat Emptor - let the buyer beware (and display due diligence).
