  • It's better to get the P2414H (as new or refurb). Newer panel tech than the 2412M and same stand capabilities. The only thing you miss out on is the 16:10 ratio.

Which I would imagine is why people buy the U2412M though. It's why I bought one.

      • I really do miss 16:10 :(

They have a U2515H modem that is 16:10 but is way too dear for me and usually never ends up on the refurb website.

        • +3

They do. I bought 3 in the past 2 months. Around $305 each.
Just need to check it every day and be quick.

        • @windows7: Thanks, I'll keep a look out then :)

    • Please explain why the P2414H is better? I don't mind TN panels, but it has to have a 144 Hz refresh rate otherwise it's not worth it.

I prefer the 16:10 monitors though. Not sure why you still upvoted though?! Thanks for the support anyway. Much appreciated.

      • The link shows the other monitor too. Perhaps you should include it in the deal.

        • I thought about that, but there is insufficient quantity available. You need >10 to post.

Be aware - only 1 year warranty, vs 3 years if you buy it new….

    • +1

That's not anything to be afraid of.
The monitor is cheap, it's refurbished and is a business grade panel. One year warranty is fair.

That's up to the individual to decide - your opinion is your own.
I merely pointed out a fact that was not in the listing details at the top of the post, for anyone who may have overlooked it.

Pffft, my 2405 is still going strong daily use nearly 10 years now.

      • Whirlpool group buy?

        • Mine blew up a few weeks ago :(
Was from the whirlpool group buy for $1249 delivered many many years ago.

Technology has changed and prices have dropped considerably.

      • Same here! Still use my 2405 from the group buy everyday!

      • Nice monitors but with much higher running costs.

The U2414H generally uses ~15-20W, whist the typical operating needs of the 2405 is 80W+.

      • Nah I bought mine in the UK in 2005 for 600 quid. Damn thats a lot of money

      • Me too, 2405FPW from 2005.

  • anyone know if the Dell P2314H 23" Monitor is worth it for 160

  • They are usually cheaper for refurbished U2412M

I bought an "as new" one there a few weeks ago for $268. It was sealed never opened. Fantastic monitor if you want DVI. Mine was perfect, no bad pixels, no light bleed, love it.

I have a 2405 going on 9 years old, still perfect but runs much hotter then this one as it is fluro backlight not LED.

    • How much are they usually refurbished?

    Does 5.00% Cashback cashrewards apply?

  • How does one actually buy one of these ? There is no 'buy' link to click on , and 'chat' is closed.

      Per the page:

To order, Chat Online, and have the "Bundle Reference" number ready to quote when you speak to a sales representative.

The price hasn't drop considerably since launch

I bought one in 2012 for $279 brand new. Another one in 2014 for $249 brand new.

I guess its good for people who need it desperately. It's a brilliant monitor no issues.

Thanks needed one more for an upgrade from U2407WFP, sure its not top of the range but it's going to be better then my old one :D

  • I am still looking for discount for U2415 because of its 16:10…

  • Yeah the U2415 is pretty nice, I think i might cancel my outlet order and just wait.

Apparently $235 isn't the best price for this display in dell outlet anyway and considering I'm using for middle of a 3x display the thinner bezel (of U2415) will be better anyway.
