    • only the ones with tails

  • +4

Top-quality, Australian-raised, as free range and ready to turn food scraps into fertiliser as they get. :)

    • +1

jv maybe be referring to a different purpose rather than making fertiliser.

  • Due to the numbers required, worms for worm farms are raised in specific conditions to facilitate healthy worms. Please explain what specifically you mean by free range so we can better understand your question, jv.

    • +2

Haha I think you'd be better off first trying to understand jv. ;-)

PS. Just jokin' jv's great value and an OzB fixture. :-D

  • Question. If i go overseas for 1.5 months… will the worms die?

    • +1

Keep out of sun if using worm farm. Have plenty of food, paper and some gardenen soil. Or make a dedicated garden with deep compost is raised bed let them live there and try to find them when you come back. If cannot find you should recover costs by having a great garden. Oh I forgot, make sure you have a good tap on the worm farm to let the excess worm tea to flow out. We capture the tea and dilute and use where necessary.

You can leave them for at most 7 days by laying down layers of newspaper and food scraps, but you'll need to get someone to look after them beyond that. I've passed mine to a mate during holidays and they were fine - you'll just have to explain to them how to do it. compostrevolution.com.au has free online tutorials to get you up to speed on the ins and out of worm farming. • Ah okay thanks guys. I'll consider it. Was excited but now it seems like a hassle. I do overseas annually and sometimes twice a year :(

  • Once friends and family know you have worm farm describe how good it is for food and garden.

Boil wholemeal spagettie and lay one or two pieces in ice cube trays with water of course.

Give guests a iced drink, with or without decoration, celery, sect, rave about the worms, venues sect.

Waite for the reaction when they see ice or ice melts.

If you do it well, well the results are very very interesting.

PS do not serve drinks where there are rugs or carpet.lol.

  • Are bunnings worms any good compared to these ones?

  • Shadow131, many people prefer our Vermihut worm farm because it has a stronger base so doesn't tip over, and comes in light colours, which are better for reflecting sun/heat and protecting the worms.
