Since status matches were previously posted as a deal, I'll post this as one too

Hyatt are currently offering status matching to platinum (or diamond if you are SPG platinum only) for their gold passport program. All you need to do is email [email protected] with a screenshot of your activity statement and 1 stay with a competitor hotel chain in 2015.

Limited to some major hotel chains (SPG, Hilton, Mariott, IHG), as I was advised by the rep.

For hilton, email [email protected] proof of competitor hotel status along with your hilton hhonor number and name

    So if I have SPG Gold as a freebie through Westpac Altitude Black, all I have to do is stay 1 night and Hilton will match it? If so, that's a winner.

      I "believe" the staying one night criteria is only if you want to match to Hyatt. I don't think you need to prove that if you are matching to Hilton

          @mini2: If you have amex plat chargecard. You have Le club Plat along with Shangri la Jade. SPG Gold, Club Carson Gold.

      You email them with the photo of membership card from another hotel and your hyatt #. In this card. accor silver won't be match to anything.
      Hilton Gold or SPG Gold might be matched to Hyatt Platinum.

    Please note that they have very slow turn around on this. I send my request on the day Hyatt tweeted (around 10 days ago) re: status match and I am still waiting to hear back from them.

        Yes… with this crappy response below. FYI - imo, Hyatt Platinum is one of the worst mid tier membership from all the hotel programs..
        I won't bother with their Platinum level at all.

        Thank you so much for reaching out to Gold Passport Customer Service regarding the recent tier match request.
        I have reviewed all of your attachments and correspondences with my colleagues. The match to Diamond has been restricted to SPG Platinum members only. If you had submitted your information prior to 12:00 PM CST on 11/20/15 other elite member's from the competing hotels were given Diamond status if we received the documentation prior to 12:00 PM CST. Our corporate office made the decision to restrict who was eligible for Diamond status and who was eligible for Platinum status as these are our elite statuses. Upon my research, we received the documentation from you after 12:00 PM CST which is why you are not eligible for the Diamond Tier Upgrade.

        I would be happy to upgrade you to Platinum Gold Passport. In order to upgrade you I would need you to send us a screen shot showing at least 1 stay with Hilton and your Status with them, I apologize but I did not receive your screen shot.

        Please reply back to the email.

    1. Your Hilton HHonors account number. If you’re not yet a member, you’ll need to sign up first.
    2. Proof of status with another hotel loyalty program. This can be a screenshot of your current account status or your membership card. We accept jpg files, word documents & PDFs.
    Please do NOT send us any personal information (including your phone number, address, social security number, date of birth, user name, passwords, or credit card information).
    Once your Hilton HHonors elite status has been honored, you’ll have it through March 31, 2017. Please allow up to 5 business days for your information to be processed.
