Is it just me, or has DD been rubbish for years?

I remember when there used to be lots of decently priced electronic, now it's seems to be just full RRP junk. Most of it refurbished, too.

    • I have found good deals on kitchen items, outdoor furniture, christmas lights. Always only when items on sale though, not their regular pricess.

Whoa! Anyone wanting an inflatable Spa/Hot Tub then keep an eye on this at midnight: http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/bestway-lay-z-spa-miami-hot-tu… If the 25% applies to todays $399 price (doesn't have the typical 'Promotion Ends' note) and comes down to $300 then it's an absolute bargain for sure! Postage to most capitals looks reasonable from $20-$50 but Tassie and other distant address is just over $100 which is still pretty good considering they weigh 30+ KGs!

I have the previous model which differs only in the colour, mine has a light grey outer instead of the black like this version. Bought it 3 years ago when on sale for around the $400 mark with Free Shipping and I've gotta say it's friggin' brilliant! I don't use it every day but keep the water spotless and drain/deflate/dry/store it after Summer's done but yeah it's an excellent investment. Keep in mind all the latest Darwinian Fencing Laws & Regulations though!

Please see my last deal on the previous model for more details & hints: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/110022

    • why would you want to be in a hottub during summer? Are you a demon?

      • Ha, nah. I wish :p I holiday at a 'Southern' destination that gets hot during the day yet gets cool enough to enjoy a 37C Hot Tub late at night.

    • So the fencing regs in Darwin a fairly draconian?

    • Whoa, it works!! Apply Coupon Code and save a further $99.75 taking it down to $299.25 (+Postage)

  • I have NAB is it free to sign up to masterpass thing? and this site is in AUD ?

  • TA - is there a minimum spend?
the 10% off for new users has a $50 minimum.
    just wondering, thanks

    • Hi battler. The info I have makes no mention of min spend. We'll know soon enough I guess. Sorry I can't be more helpful :)

  • Lot of promotions with much bigger savings (like 60%) seen to end though
Promotion begins at 12:48PM Thu 2015/12/03 AEDT ending at 2015-12-03 12:48:00 AEDT.

OK, for those without CBA/NAB/BankWest/Bendigo… thanks to some experimentation…

I tried a mock order (damn near purchased something I didn't need, at FULL PRICE… heart racing… lucky for the confirm order/cancel at last minute button!!!)

you add item to cart, then go to checkout to add coupon code, then tick the Masterpass payment method.

    Following screen appears: http://imgur.com/OdOumsd

Choose Masterpass and set up a Masterpass account, add your <any bank> card (I added Citi Sig Visa), then proceed to payment (where I was able to cancel mock order).

Have received Welcome email from Masterpass and separate email confirming new card added to Masterpass account.

So, seems you can create a Masterpass acoount independent of the 4 banks listed.

Great. you find a way to register a card not officially supported by Masterpass. Not sure what the implication is though. Will you be protected against any fault… if any problem arises.

      • Don't see a problem. Says you can add "any" card, which I did.
        http://imgur.com/GgjG0JC

I can log into Masterpass account and edit my details, cards, etc.

All looks very similar to Visa Checkout screens and process.

Same Shipping kills it, with discount oo.com.au is cheaper

  • Sorry to seem dumb but where do you put the code? I have logged in, added what I want to my cart and gone to the secure checkout page. All I see is my item and the option to pay by Masterpass, Paypal etc but no box for a code.

    • Down the bottom of the next page… but be careful not to go too much further than that if you're just snooping around & price-checking otherwise you'll own it!

      • Thanks. Found it.

  • Sorry but I do not see any deals. I checked most prices yesterday and today they are much much higher like bestway 3-in-1 fold bed yesterday: 38 today 119; self inflatable mat yday 9 today 29, oztrail swag yday 119 today 249 etc etc

What about the Spa I mention earlier? $399 yesterday, $399 today but the code brings it down to about $300 which is the cheapest it's ever been and probably deserves its own Deal post!

      • maybe yes but this deal is for 25% off sitewide, in that regards I find it a neg

      • +1

its $699 now not sure if your looking at the same page or if its been updated in price:
        http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/bestway-lay-z-spa-miami-hot-tu…

        • Ah no! Yes, the price has definitely been updated since I checked last night & early this morning. Oh well, I really hope at least a few OzBargainers managed to get one at $299 :)

  • Hmmmm furniture items i was looking at yesterday were much cheaper and now they are back to full price, even with this 25% off its even more inflated

  • what a shame! I put http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/bestway-queen-size-premium-air… in my shopping cart for $39 yesterday, but it's $79 now.

  • +1

Same here. Heap of stuff has gone up >30% since I checked last night. Respect for posting the deal TA, but I hate this tactic from DealsDirect.

  • I don't see where the code can be entered. Is it after you sign into master pass?

    • Don't choose to check out through masterpass, choose normal checkout. At the end before you select payment method, put the promo code in. When you do, it automatically selects your payment method as masterpass and the discount is applied.
