Hi all, just got the email for JB's latest Instant Deal - $172 (or $222 as they appear to have changed ticket price) off a Sony 2.1 channel 330W Soundbar with wireless subwoofer.

Ticket price: $547 online - Email says $497
With coupon code: $325 online (I have tested) + delivery or FREE click and collect.

You need to be registered to receive the Instant Deal emails, sign up is here

Model is HTCT780. Specs are here. Reviews from Harvey Norman look good.

To get the deal:
1) Sign up to the Instant Deal subscriber list*
2) Wait for your welcome email which will include the most recent deal (mine came straight through)
3) Redeem online by entering your unique coupon code (from email) once you have added the Soundbar and proceeded to checkout
OR 4) Redeem in store by printing the email and taking it to your nearest JB HI-FI store.

Alternatively ask for a code in the comments and someone may post if they aren't using theirs.

      Decent sound for a sound bar and very good for the price.

      Nice solid medium-sized sub woofer really helps and music over BT is pretty good. The surround options don't sound as good as my old 5.1 system but that is to be expected, and the wireless sub still has a power cord to plug in so not truly 'wireless'. It does ARC and 4K passthrough which is why I got it over the weekend using the eBay special which was $397 so this price is even better. Last year I got the entry-level Phillips sound bar which I returned as it sounded horrible - this is light years ahead of that and works well even with my LG TV.

        Do you need to plug everything into the soundbar and then the HDMI out with ARC to the TV? I would have a chromecast and PS4 plugged in (to the TV currently with no sound system), or can I just keep everything plugged into the TV and connect it to the soundbar somehow? The TV does have ARC FWIW.

          Just plug the soundbar into the HDMI (ARC) output on the TV and the sound will just go out to the soundbar. You can also plug devices into the soundbar and use it was a HDMI switcher I believe.

          I have one of these soundbars, for the price it's very good (got mine around $387). The design of the soundbar bar is nice also, I have it slightly tucked under the TV and the cabinet and is the exact width of the TV so blends in well.

      I don't know any for this price….this model is $649 RRP so pretty good deal. Also don't know what sound bars do 4K passthrough and built in Dolby TrueHD/DTS-HD.
