      Yeah I went with the Sony Action Cam instead of Go Pro and love it. There a perks a draw backs to both but it's certainly not a budget, inferior go pro like a lot of the other options out there

    I don't personally recommend the Sony action cameras. My experience with the AS-10 is that the shape of the case leads to a lot of cooling on the front and heating of the rear part of the unit, and as a result as soon as you are doing any reasonable pace (on a bicycle in my case) the inside front of the case - immediately in front of the lens - fogs up.

    A friend of mine has another Sony model and has exactly the same problem.

        (I ask because the Sony ones need to be air-dried apparently, whereas the GoPro ones are oven-dry)

    I wanted the camera and the bag instantly since I'm going to Japan tomorrow but I bought it first at JB and then found out the bags are instantly redeemed at sony kiosk chatswood. So I got them to price match the $350 and got the bag on the spot.

    Just got the camera today via delivery and found out it's friggin fisheye lens. I only wanted to use the camera for indoor use/static use, not for sports. Unfortunately I opened the two seals on each side to check the camera out but never used the camera. What are my hopes of returning it to JB HI-FI? Should I just attempt to sell it?

      You can change it to 120 degree FoV, which is a lot closer to natural.

        And if you turn on the optical image stabilisation, it switches to 120 degrees FoV automatically. I have mine set to that :)

        It's still a bit of fisheye but not tooooo bad. :)
