More info about the provider over at Reddit:

I tried it out this morning and was able to saturate my 36mbit cable connection :D

Under $10AUD for a 500GB block (even as a backup) is pretty excellent.

UPDATE:
50% off is finished, now only 25% off with the same code.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2015

  • do you know if the 500GB Blocks expire?

Anyone using them.. whats the speed like??

I have been happy with newsgroupdirect, so waiting for a black friday deal to popup.

    • 'Your payment is received and your account will be active from 2015-11-27 until you've fully exhausted your block..'

Which reads as 'no expiry'. Assuming the provider doesn't fold =)

    • Blocks don't expire. Can't really comment on speed as my connection is only 15mbit.

I mostly use as a backup to my unlimited Frugal account, and have noticed Usenet.farm completes downloads were other providers are missing articles.

  • I can see monthly prices but no blocks… I'm not usually blind, where are you looking :)

  • +1

Where are they based? Do they dcma quickly?

    • xsnews reseller mostly (have a small amount of local retention) from what I have read

  • Only downside is the low retention.

  • How many SSL connections? Does not say on their site, which I found strange for a usenet provider to miss that?

    • 20

      • Hmm, 20 is not great, 50 is the standard for most….

        • why? if you can't max out your bandwidth with 20 then its likely not going to get any better with 50

  • Discounts been reduced to 25% now with the same code….
