Why are you posting it as a bargain if you have no idea how good it is? the site doesn't list ingredients but its basically Glucose for fast acting carbs, creatine and caffine which there are WAY cheaper ways of getting your hands on, this is 50 cents a serve and it doesn't even have any whey protein.

      • Where did you get the gram ratios from? I looked for ingredients and could only find 150mg of caffine and 6g of carbs from another site. Protein247 doesn't seem to think ingredients lists matter(unless I am missing somthing). Who is taking supps that they have no idea what is in them?

The price of this elsewhere costs way more than $10, is that not a bargain? Why would a pre workout contain any protein btw?

      • Sorry I didn't neg or anything you I was asking for clarification. If it has everything you need for a preworkout and its cheap at the moment then its a bargain. I'm just weary that the site doesn't list ingredients and most people would get just as much from a coffee with a spoon of dextrose mixed into some whey powder.

A lot of sources point towards protein being as important pre-workout as post workout.

        • i think having 30g of protein in a serve of pre will make the cost quite high? btw can i see the sources?

i dont think instant coffee list the amount of caffeine either…

        • Does any pre-work out contain whey? why do you comment on something you don't understand? And the way pre workout works is like it has different effects on different individuals as people have different tolerance to the combination of ingredients, so you surely don't know how well it works on you until you try it. Didn't see any problem from OP here.

        • @er2k: btw, you should've checked at bodybuilding.com for ingredient list and reviews, otherwise you don't need this stuff

        • @er2k: How are you supposed to judge it without a proper ingredients list?! This like most pre workout mixes and muscle gainers are just over marketed basic ingredients you only need a few supplements when trying to gain muscle especially when you are beginning this supplement is basically glucose and caffeine giving your a sugar hit and getting your heart pumping. Who said I don't understand? I'm asking OP how he thinks this white powder is a bargain when he hasn't tried it. if a bunch of people where selling "magic beans" for $50 and another bunch of people where selling them for $10 they would still be useless "magic beans" when you should go buy some dried kidney beans and call them magic beans because its all marketing, and if this is a proper supplement what happens when the price goes back up and people think they still need it for gains and keep buying it at the inflated price, workout nutrition needs to be consistent.

From my point of view OP seemed to be like "not sure if this works, looks cheap and there is sciencey formulas" and all his previous bargains seemed to be domino's related, I wanted people to know there are way better bang for you buck supplements around like Icecold5000 says below.

Plenty of "pre workout" supplements contain whey or BCAA's or both go look for yourself.

@astarman: Quite high compared to this temporarily discounted price. but if you replace this "preworkout" with stuff that proven to work without all the added costs of marketing and labels its about the same. like I said Creatine, dextrose/glucose caffine and some BCAA's and/or whey and you're golden and it will be cheap all the time not just during a firesale.

Instant coffee isn't a dietary supplement and should be held to different standards, depending the batch of beans the caffeine content changes cup to cup, also what kind of animal drinks instant coffee? A double espresso has 150mg of caffeine give or take.

        • @astarman:
          Source
          Source
          This premix has protien
this video from 2011 calling jack3d (as posted about below) out on their awful practices before anybody cracked down on them from the maker of protien in previous link

Whatever everybody negged me for asking why you would buy and ingest this stuff. I would rather people don't buy junk like this and waste time/money but I can't stop you, do what you like. Pre workout is a buzzword to sell powdered energy drinks.

        • @Mujaji: but energy drink are more expensive

Btw double expresso shot is more expensive than 50c

        • @Mujaji: First, I never mention you should skip the indredient list, I said you should be able to look for it quite easily at somewhere. Second, mainstream pwo can have BCAA, but whey(there can be one or two brands)? Even manufacturer are not interested in this kind of gimmick. You don't expect to intake whey from pwo, do you? I don't know whether you understand or not, I know you act like you don't understand. So, if I mistook on that, sorry Mr pro.

There are pwo packed with sugar and with condensed formula, it is worth trying different formula, especially if you work out regularly. So saying 'not sure about the effect' is correct and responsible.

    • drink water is posting it because its at a bargain price compared to other sites selling the same product for $29 at genesis and $47.95 at vitaminking.

    • When you pick a flavour price jumps to $135

supplements a good deal? https://www.schmidtandclark.com/jack3d . you make the decision

    • Dam!

    • Proabably best ever pre-worked out, i had like 6 jars, all expired and was slowly taking small dosages until it dried out, had to put it into grinder, then more grinder, after quite a long time, started to give me panic attacks, got so sick of that i threw it out…

        Proabably best ever pre-worked out

except that it apparently damages your liver and resulted in deaths

my point is supplements are poorly regulated. you don't know if you are getting what you are paying for (the supplement industry is rife with false claims) and you don't know what contaminants are in them

        • very true, i just stayed with caffine now..

    • Maybe they just skipped leg day lol lol lol. Seriously though that's not good.

I noticed some of the PWO then suddenly went on sale in Oz were actually banned on NZ due to being analogs of class A or B class substances so I guessed that Oz suppliers were trying to get rid of their stock before the law changed here. I am a bit wary of PWO for that reason so just keep it simple with creatine, protein and a decent diet. I lift but don't consider myself to be a muscle bro so no need to go around and looked jacked.

I actually brought a couple of these on sale some time ago and went through one lot but it tasted like sh$t.

  • I've taken this stuff i found it to be ok……….

  • They've got a heap of these in my local gym (derrimut gym in Braybook) which I believe is Best Before November. They've had it there for a couple of months. I'm not sure if protein247 is owned by Derriumt ?

  • Hey guys just made an account to let you know, I just received my product and its USE BY NOV 2015.
It is illegal for them to sell products that are past use by dates as it becomes potentially unsafe to consume. Purchase at your own risk, but I shall be returning mine.
