  • iibuy is $99 plus shipping. The things with this chipset were around $150 or more just a few months ago. Plus the A-110D has DTS downmix, which the earlier A-100 did not. So all in all, this is a good deal!

  • a network HD,that's good quality

  • so this one comes with built in wifi ?

    • nope, you need to buy the dongle…

  • Anyone know if you can get this working with TPG's IPTV service?

The device will need to support MPEG2-TS over UDP Multicast. (Ie, needs to be able to join a udp multicast group and request packets)

  • Excellent media player. I bought one a few weeks ago for about $20 more. I've also got the AP-300 with the built in hard drive. I've been thoroughly impressed with the capabilities of these units. I can finally say goodbye to DVDs.

  • shame it doesnt have a HD tuner built in…

    • +1

I guess you've got to buy the box that does what you want. Me, I have all my DVDs ripped to a server in another room, so a network media player is great. I don't watch broadcast TV, so I don't need a HD tuner. For the feature set that this unit has, it's great value. If you want other features, obviously this isn't so great :)

  • Ummm…why is it $118 now?

    • It was $89.95 for 24 hours only — 24 hours have passed so it's back up to normal price now. The deal should probably be marked as expired.

  • Is this comparable to an xtremer / playonhd (-minus hdd) ?

Sounds like it will do h264 HD rips.
Also if it can load dvd iso image?

    And $118.95 now ??

  • top buy has just trumped it… see:

  • I wonder how people feel when they compare this with WDTV live which is more expensive?
