  Its not like you can't get mowers in a walk in shop. So the mower is basically $148 or more. I'm not sure if its worth that price as I don't know anything about mowers :)

  You can get a basic 4 stroke mower at Bunnings for around the $150 mark. I did 2 years ago, and it is still going strong. Mine even has a Briggs&Stratton 4HP engine, which is the gold standard of cheap lawnmower engines.

  talon is a crap brand . Spare parts are expensive and required often.As stumo says go for anything with B & S engine.

    No dispute on the Talon comment, but B&S is now BS as its quality isnt like the old B&S that we were so used to.

  Well I've decided to try my luck.

  It's still pretty cheap (since I live in VIC) and I've actually been hunting around for a lawn mower.

  Thanks for the feedback everyone. I bought a Talon blower vac from www.extrastock.com.au and it works fine + it was cheap. Obviously it's not the best brand but at the price with the warranty what more do you want.

  Extra stock has some bargains every now and again, good link to put in your favourites.

  actually I have one of these, for 5 years now. Not obviously the best mower you can get…….but mines never skipped a beat…usual once a week for 5 years. Never had to put oil in it. I paid $279 for mine and seen it still sells for around $249.

  So this is definatly a bargain!!!

  Very nice deal i reckon. I thought cheap mowers were like $300, and this is only $150. Talon's a name brand too. Must be ok.
