New member and first post. Hellow everyone!
I was wondering if anyone had any clues about a good lawn mower deal at the moment. I am considering buying in the $200-250 price range.
I know Kmart had some "sanli" ones for about $200 but that sale finished i believe!
Latest junk mail I got was from Bunnings and they have a mower in there ("sprinter" brand) for about $250.
Any other ideas?

Depends on how long you can wait, the cheap lawnmowers come up almost monthly on Kmart. Alternatively look in your local paper for a 2nd hand one, or ebay. Then when the kmart special comes back buy a new one then. Having a second cheapie helps when you have some tough areas to cut and dont want to damage the new one.
thanks for the replies. i went to some shops on the weekend but did not buy one yet. the cheapie at bunnings does not have a solid catcher (it is like a cloth bag) so i am not crazy about it. the cheapest one at bunnings with a solid catcher was a victa mower for about $350.
i saw the same mower in another shop for $335 so i am wondering if i can go back to bunnings and take them up on the 10% price beat guarantee thing. Has anyone ever tried this?
i almost bought half a lawn mower last night! hahaha i was at kmart and they had a sanli mower there for $60 (normally $200) but it was missing some parts. I decided to not take the chance since I was not sure where to buy the necesary bits and pieces. :)

An ozbargainer listed a deal for a new 4 stroke $99 mower, search "mower" and you will see the deal.
I ended up getting the yellow sanli mower from kmart for 199. It is going well so far. Thanks for the help guys. :)
have you had a look at the "flymo" brand? we have had 2 so far.
Both electric. One the generic "push" style with catcher, and the other was a nifty hovercraft style :)
