Continental Tyres are horrible they wear down fast and loose grip after a while too.

    • Continental Tyres are horrible they wear down fast and loose grip after a while too.

Sure they do, there is a reason they are used on high end cars and its not because of fast wear and poor grip.

      • Please share the reason.
Being standard equipment on certain vehicles doesn't mean anything.

I researched highest performance (summer) tires, over a decent period - For my camaro.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport, Pirelli P Zeros, and Continental Extreme Contact DW took the prize (although splitting hairs, with many reviews disagreeing over tiny percentages). Where Pirelli & Michelin were ~95% scores, Contis were ~92%, and cost like 40% less $$

I contacted Continental Australia, and they say they import enough models, mainly service replacements for Euro car models.

So, I could've saved a PACKET, import 4+ from USA… but…. I missed the boat on the whole USD/AUD thing.

To say an entire brand is "horrible", particularly such a renowned & trusted brand… clueless.

        • I have Michelin Pilot Super Sport on my car, probably the bset tyre you can buy apart from the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2.
The conti's i had before were sc3's and they lasted 20k while the Michelin's are still going good after 50k

You can't have a tyre that grips and lasts for a long time, not only does the rubber change as it ages (both distance and time) with performance suffering but a hard wearing tyre cannot grip as well.

Continental tyres are constantly at the top of reviews and they are OEM on many performance cars.

motor mag is as useless as topgear australia

          nope

That was one example, there are thousands of reviews that put Continental at or near the top including from Evo magazine. Your comments so far show someone who has no idea what they are talking about, you just rubbished Motor magazine as being useless yet if you look at the way they tested the tyres it was as close to a scientific test as you can get and you also rubbish Continental Tyres despite them making many of the best tyres on the market.

I suspect there is some rubbish here but it's not the Continental Tyres.

Promised us free pizzas for a year and then a month later changed the deal.

I would not be surprised if they change this and send you all Kmart sneakers
