Not much good stuff on sale…

I'm boycotting Woollies though because of the new crap rewards program.

They've raised the price and giving you cash back. The items I saw last week end up costing you more now, and on top of it, you won't get any FF points after Dec too!!!

Yes, noticed that. Helga's bread ~$5.5, with a ~$2 cash back. Next I go to coles, where I picked up the bread for ~$3.5.
Who are this marketing targeted towards?

        Nuff nuffs.

Who are this marketing targeted towards?

        The clueless…

Some of the price rises were more than the cash back…

      Interesting. Noted.
      Thanks for the heads up.

  • Anyone can comment on the sony phone? Is it a good deal?

      Specs here:
      http://m.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_e4g-7059.php

To be honest, the ZTE Fit Smart 4G at Coles this week is a much better alternative by specifications.

      • Similar specs, but E4G would have better build quality/camera and probably speakers. But total cost is $99 + $25 to unlock, which is quite abit!

      • Tried taking a photo of some close range text in exactly the same spot in store in poor lighting. The Sony Camera was amazingly better. The Alcatel just couldn't focus at all. Plus the E4G has both Optus and Telstra 3G bands, and the new 4GX 700mhz Bands (incorrectly reported on the gsmarena website). I went and bought some Dicksmith giftcards from Coles (10% bonus), and then purchased an E4G at Dicksmith. Possibly a Marshamallow update on the E4G in Jan, but I prefer KitKat over Lollipop anyway.

Woolies new reward program very disappointing.

No wonder their profit is declining and shares are dropping. I only shop at Woolies when I need to buy a canned Mackerel, which neither Aldi nor Coles offers at the competitive price.

  • Is it Telstra locked>

    • Yes.

    • Activate it as soon as you get it (get the 5GB data). Buy a $10 Telstra starter pack or 2, do some creditme2u'ing. Enjoy 5Gb+ data from each, plus calls for 6 months, then use the left over 'credit' to unlock the phone via Telstra call centre.

  • Cheers will stock up on Pepsi Max. All my other groceries I get from ALDI or local shops these days.

  • 50% Off Berri Fruit Juice 2.4L $2.35 is great, although it used to be 2.20

  • Seems like woollies are going into bankruptcy soon and be purchased by westfarmers, smart move if they do.

    • Wot
