Air New Zealand has just just launched a fantastic North America on Sale promo. So I searched IWTF for better prices, and bingo… around $30 cheaper than booking direct and with all CC fees included. There are tonnes of seats available for travel 20 Oct 2015 - 15 Feb 2016. Sale ends Nov 12. Happy travels :)

Bit disappointed that AirNZ T&Cs say the $300 off deal does not apply to flights from Sunshine Coast, yet it seems it applies to all of their other Australian ports.

Weird. I was looking at flights last night on Air NZ and they jumped from that price up to $1,100 plus when I refreshed the page. I assumed it was because the previous promo ended at midnight. I'd resigned myself to waiting until next year but it looks like US trip is back on the cards!

This isn't a big deal, but just remember you'll have a stopover in Auckland flying Air NZ. If there's two flights at a similar price, it's probably not worth saying that it could be a consideration if one flight doesn't stop.
That said, Air NZ is a very good airline!
Anyone know the cheapest one way route to get to the USA or Mexico? I know jetstar gets you to hawaii and then from hawaii you can get to mainland? Any other airlines or routes to look at? Also is there anything better than skyscanner or adioso for collating search results?

yes but but… say if you fly Delta airlines they are asking for about 12XX or 13XX SYD<=>LAX, with two checked bags for free. and you save few hours… and they arrive in their own LAX terminals with much faster immigration and customs clearance… compare with TBIT….. which takes forever…
Hi all, any suggestions/ideas on cheap fares for return flights "from" LAX? For whatever reason they always seem to be twice as much as deals originating in Oz.
I can't see any flights to LA less than 1900 return. Until mid Jan, when us the deal then????
For the stopover in NZ, if you have an ANZ Black credit card you can use the Emperor lounge at Auckland Airport. Showers, food, booze :)
