    • thanks, altomic :)

    • Does it has gorilla glass ?

      • OOGGA BOOGGA

      • screen Type: IPS, capacitive touch screen, LG Screen, 400 PPI :)

        • Then no, rear in budget phones

        • if it was gorilla glass i would have bought 2 of them :(

        • @sajju: I have only once dropped a phone and broke the screen, I know it happens but gorilla glass is the last thing I care about in a budget phone

        • @Jackson: In this price range i do have other options like Doogee F5 and Ulefone be touch 2 , i was thinking for this phone if it has gorilla glass because of kids you know.. otherwise i dont look into gorilla glass.

  • Hi,

I was trying to find some reviews of this handset but no luck!!!! couple questions 1) would this work in Australia? not just locked to US service providers
    2) What is postage charges to AUS?

OP can you answer this for me thanks mate!!!

    • Says FREE SHIPPING

    • Reviews are hard to find as it is a new model, there are more than a few sites giving the specs of the phone [ Yes, it will work in Australia, no 850 4G [Networking:2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz, 3GWCDMA 850/900/2100MHz, 4G: FDD LTE: 800/1800/2100/2600MHz] and the delivery cost is clearly stated in the title. As it might bother you, The OP may trim 50% of delivery….

      • No 700mhz either for 4G

    • My wife had an Elephone as well as a coworker. Really great inexpensive and value for money phones. Cant talk about this new model but if Elephone kept up with its level of manufacturing and quality then this would be a pretty good phone. The specs read very well. If I hadn't recently bought a lenovo k3 note then this phone at this price would be very tempting.

Specs look amazing but I would be concerned with the build quality as well as warranty. Youd be buying this with not much support if the thing dies.

The other area that can be an issue is the firmware/os upgrades .. :) the few ppl i know who have ChinaDroid phones are typically happy with them but mainly because of the price, they all do point out that there are bugs with the firmware that they tend to put up with …

      • Yep agree. One reason why Apple IPhone is so expensive is because you paying for software "assurance" to upgrade the phone firmware for at least 3 or 4 versions back.

        • +3

hehehe that sounds good unless your a iphone 4/4s user who has to run the current iOS on their phone… :) my brother in-law has hung in there but watching him do anything on his phone is just painful… his now upgraded to the samsung galaxy S6 (the cost of the new iphones was just too much for him)

However i wouldn't really bring apple into this conversation though as the price is getting to nearly 5x this device .. lol so lets just compare it with androids from the more well known brands :)

@scud70: yeah, I buy a phone safe in the knowledge that when I have it in 5 years it will still get software upgrades…….

        • +3

@altomic: 5years??? wow even i struggle with keeping the same phone for more than 2 - 2 1/2 years … and there is no way id want my 5 year old phone trying to run a new OS that's just counter productive as i said just ask people with iphone 4/4s it is not always a good thing :)

        • +2

@scud70: it's a joke. honestly, anyone depending on their phone: a) lasting 5 years (aside for nokia dumbphones), b) expecting it to be able to receive software upgrades after 5 years, would be a [insert appropriate term] person

mobile phones are a disposable item.

@altomic: damn you gotta work on your typed sarcasm .. loll

        • @scud70: yeah, right! ——— How was that?

        • @scud70: some people got it ;)

        • @Darkhour: some ppl are just too smart for their own good… :P

The one thing I don't like (of most these China Droids incl. Elephone) is the black borders around the screen.
I'd rather have a thick bezel than these black borders.

  • All friends here, we just updated the snap up time to ** Starts 8PM & Ends 9PM Friday 9 Oct GMT+11 (Melb/Syd time)** , please kindly check back :)
