an email I received stated it finished 11pm 1/10/15 however just checked and it's still going.

also thanks to JAY723 and this post you can book through Jetabroad and save $100 per ticket (must be booked separately I assume)

18 Jan (2016) from Adelaide, SA (ADL) to Denpasar (Bali) (DPS)
with return on 25 Jan (2016) and it came to AUD $252.54

if that deal is over then you can book through virgin australia. and for the same dates - travel period is from 13 jan to 18 march - got the saver base fare of $ 335.63.

which includes:
A) 1 piece of luggage included (23kg)
b) a complimentary meal and selected beverages (On direct flights between Australia and Bali, Australia and Phuket or Australia and Nadi, all economy guests receive a complimentary meal and selected beverages)

travel period is from 13 jan to 18 march

I tapped in the following dates to get the $335.63 rate. other dates are available but I didn't check.
Depart: Wed Jan 20 2016 5:05 PM

Depart: Wed Jan 27 2016 1:10 PM

not as cheap as this jetstar deal from august which was from $197.43 but then you could possibly get jetstar to price beat this deal and get it cheaper. -you won't get the meal but you should get the luggage allowance. but it is only a 5 hour flight so bring a packed lunch and some snacks.

just noticed that madmouse58 also posted a different virgin australia deal here but that only listed domestic flights.

Please note the luggage inclusion is for a luggage weight allowance. not that they provide you with complimentary luggage weighing 23 kgs.

    • Do they give baggage allowance? Because VA do give 1 pc of baggage each way, plus you got some meals..

My apologies, I assumed these were Saver Lite fares? Maybe someone can confirm?

        • @altomic: Thanks altomic. The Jetstar price is negated by the baggage allowance, but may be a great option for those wanting to travel light.

@tightarse: Just FYI, I think Virgin have removed the Saver Lite class. They now just have Saver (which comes with baggage), Flexi and Business. They modelled this after QANTAS who introduced an all-inclusive base fare, ergo Virgin Saver :)

You'll need to travel with an adult.

Yeah, I'm not a very responsible person so that's a good idea. Cheers

  • When I price beat with jetstar earlier this year against air asia I told them luggage was included in the other flight and they added that in and beat the price. They would not do the meal though.

  • I think that jetstar will match the luggage allowance when they price match.

  • Anyone else been that time of year? Never been keen on the whole Kuta Bali thing, but outside islands sound good for that price

  • Seems expired, I cant get anything for that price around those times…
