Sanitarium 'Try me for free' muesli rebate

470

This week at Coles, Sanitarium Muesli is on special for $4 (from $5.49)

There is currently a rebate where you get the full $5.50 back. This covers the cost of the stamp + envelope!

It's hardly worthwhile unless (like me) you love getting something for nothing!

Also the T&C state that only the first 17000 valid claims will be honoured, so better get in early if you want it.

    • It started Nov 1, which is over two months ago so no way of knowing of they've had 17,000 claims.

  • Sounds like a good deal, get paid to eat!! Wonder if there is a limit on the number of muesli's you can claim

      1 claim per household

    • yep… "Only one claim permitted per household and one claim permitted per specified purchase requirement. Offer is strictly limited to the first 17,000 valid online claims received."

  • i can't find in coles brochure this week for this item sell for $4. are u sure?

    • I don't see it on offer online too. The online store normally has the same offer as in store (unless it's one of those multiple purchase specials in which you'd see in the catalogue anyway), but I've done a search and it's normal price for this item.

  • access to web page ok and code given.

    thanx!

  • Anyone have a barcode available so I can secure a ticket before I go and buy?

    • You could try running 9 414942 800153 past the stewards, but you would need to still need to buy the Golden Oats & Fruit variety, plus get the barcode and an original receipt and an envelope. You'll need to print the form with the unique code produced and enclose it with the other stuff in a window envelope or write it on the back of an envelope and seal it and put the addressee on the front. If you don't have a pen, you'll need a pen and probably a stamp. I don't provide or lick stamps (but if you have a pre-stamped envelope or one of those new fangled no-lick stamps (or a dog)) you'll be able to work out the rest. I don't post mail, nor do I collect it, and if they send you a cheque, I don't stand in the damn queue at Westpac unless chocolate is involved.

      N.B.
There hasn't been any testing of the "dog licking the envelope and/or the stamp" so it isn't an RSPCA thang, and even if it were I never said you should use a pit bull (with lipstick or otherwise).

      • Thanks holdenmg! I don't have a dog, but I'll give it a shot anyway.

  • I think i will contact them via email or phone before i decide to buy. Although, $4 for one of these is a decent buy on it's own… hmmm.

I can't believe that people will go to the effort of going to the shops and buying this cereal, and then cutting out the barcode and sending it in the mail, just to save 5 bucks! It's amazing how tight some people are.

    • Well if you were going shopping anyway, it's just another item for the list, but I agree that cutting out the barcode and addressing the envelope is a bit of a time-waster. Still probably better than watching TV, your fingers get some exercise. :)

Are you sure you've come to the right website?

Your profile shows you've contributed no offers - and yet despite zero contribution you are up for bagging others!

You must be new here :)

    • Just get your butler to do it for you.

    • i did, i bought two items. at least save my money. I went yesterday, bought together with my weekly groceries shopping. A little effort will save my money $11. How long it takes to cut the barcode and printed the form? less than 5 minutes.

anyway, i am typical person that believe every single cent is worthed.

imagine if a lot of people think that 5 cent is worthless. I don't mind if all these people transfer this 5 cent from their bank account to my bank account every weeks. I might retired soon, isn't it? :)

Thanks for letting us know, but $4 at Coles is cheaper.

  • I ♥ Sanitarium

  • Bought a box today. I forgot i've had this before, i got the Cherry with yoghurt coated flakes. This box had more yog coated flakes than last time i had it. Nice.

  • Picked up a box today and still claim-able on website. Their 17000 quota is still open!

  • Still open. Last day of Coles sale though ($4)

  • Received my rebate in the mail today, Couldn't believe it when I opened it and found they had actually sent cash, $5 note and a .50c coin, at least it saves a trip to the bank to deposit a cheque.

    • Same :) I was both pleasantly surpised and horrified

  • Blimey, no wonder they have to pay people to eat this stuff! Possibly the worst cereal I've had in the last 40 years. The flakes taste like cardboard. The other ingredients are the cheapest rubbish they could get. Really bad stuff. Then you read all that jingoistic rubbish on the back of the pack and it's made in - New Zealand.

  • My $5.50 arrived yesterday. Cash in the mail Haha.
    Bloody religious nuts.
