[QLD] Switch Your CTP to QBE & Receive a Gift Card of up to $50 (over 30yo & 12 Month Renewal)

70

I am in the market to renew my QLD Rego and found this on QBE website. The title is straightfrward but there are some hurdles:

  • Queensland Only;
  • Owner must be over 30 years old;
  • The offer is valid only when you renew for 12 month rego;
  • I used the reward calculator on the website and it always shows $25 gift card despite changing the parameters;

$25 EFTPOS gift card

The XSWestfield Gift Card may be used for purchases across Australia at the large number of retailers with EFTPOS facilities; it is not limited to Westfield centres. However some retailers may choose not to accept these Gift Cards, card terms and examples listed below*.

    Suncorp deal is better if you're not already with them: https://public.suncorp.gji.com.au/

    • You could try to claim both of them…..not sure how it works.

      I can confirm that the Suncorp offer is legit - got $100 worth of EFTPOS cards in the mail about 2 weeks after signing up.

      • Suncorp appears to now offer only a $50 eftpos card.

          They only offer $50 cards. He probably renewed two cars.

      • Be quick ..the suncorp expires today.

        • I can see that all four providers for this CTP insurance are shown on the QLD government transport site as charging $329.60 for a class 1 vehicle for 12 months (but they say to check with each provider). QBE is the only one who I could not find their price quote on their site, they refer you to the government site. I guess you have to assume QBE is $329.60 too.

        • @nocure:

          That link doesn't really work but I know the page you mean. It is the gov site showing all four charging $329.60. However, I just noticed that Suncorp on their site are shown as charging $323.60 this month. So the gov site is not guaranteed correct.

        • @jdr:
          Yep , sorry just changed it too a screenshot.

          @nocure:

          Thanks, that's the page I thought you meant. That gov site is partly just a guide, Suncorp is $323.60 this month (and maybe since July) but that ends today.

          Suncorp went up back to the standard price of $329.60 today. $50 voucher is still available.

        • @millzy:
          $50 card still available with Suncorp.

          But I'm with Suncorp CTP, so changing to QBE for $25 card, then change again for best deal next year.

    • Thanks heaps! My rego just came today. Perfect timing! :D

    So glad we don't deal with ctp in W.A. All inclusive of the registration cost.

    • Why are you glad to be ineligible for EFTPOS cards?

    • +1

      CTP is inclusive of your rego cost within QLD…

    • lol, ctp is in WA. you just don't have a choice to change companies.

      ex-WA resident here… used to be the best pre-mining boom, but now, the best thing i did was to GTFO of there.

        I didn't say we didn't have it, its inclusive meaning not hand-balled to private companies to state a case for profitability. Hence why my renewal was $600 a year for ctp and registration.

  • Any good offers for NSW green slips

  • Went with suncorp, thanks guys.
