  What type of hooks do they have?

  I have had some in the past that when loose can slip off but I have seen others where it has like a double hook clipping system on the end (not quite sure what technical name is).

  The strap side hook has a plug to close the hook and stop it from coming off the tie down point. The ratchet side hook is open.

  I got this set the last time it was this price. Happy with them on the whole. Only gripe is how hard they are to loosen. I'm putting it down to the user as sometimes the ratchet disengages immediately and slides off, other times it's bloody impossible.

  The plug that @flipfire mentioned is a god-send.
