iPod Nano 7th Gen (Blue Only) - $140 and iPod Touch 5th Gen - $195 @ Good Guys Chadstone (VIC)

30

*** warning: limited stock deal :)

The Good Guys Chadstone Homemaker store is having a relocation sale. Seems like the move is going to take place before the end of September.

Seems to be lots of clearance specials around the store but this caught my attention. The 30% discount is off the already reduced price of the blue iPod nano. There are only a few nanos left but more of the touch (check the photo).

Hope this is useful to someone…

  • 16GB iPod Nano on the Apple website is $149 with free shipping. In case anybody wanted other colours.

    • I'm guessing you're looking at the american apple site, cause its 219 in australia

I really don't get why anyone buys iPods anymore, since we got smartphones. Even a sub $100 smartphone can hold 16GB+ of songs.

But can you get a sub $100 device just for games and media from the Apple store?

And ignoring Apple products, a dedicated music player has much better audio quality than a phone.

There's a niche market out there, these things aren't dead yet.

The smaller iPods are lite and good for the gym/running etc. I have dropped my iPod countless times at the gym and despite a few marks it still works I don't really mind how it looks. If my phone dropped it would probably crack and I would be a lot more concerned with it.

The FM radio on the iPod is always a plus also.

        Mine is for running :)

Phones are bulky, heavy and have limited battery life.

      • +1

Yep, I use my 16GB ipod nano for running too. Handy since it supports Bluetooth too.

Because some people like to keep their music devices and phones separate. If you run out of battery for your iPod is not as big of a deal as running out on your phone.

Furthermore I like to use an iPod in the car, and leave it in the car.

Speaking of the clearance sale at The Good Guys, Chadstone in general I was not impressed. They're relocating to the front of the building, I don't expect mastic discounts.
