Good price. Smashed my G3 screen over the weekend and now have to deicde to pay $100 for repalcement screen or new phone- G4 or nexus6 I think.. really love the G3 but the battery sort of sucks, hows the G4 battery? can anyone compare it to the nexus6?

Nexus 5X is rumoured to have 808 with FHD screen with 2GB or 3GB RAM. Isn't that worse than or more or less similar to G4?
Being a nexus, it's likely that they will not support mSD or removable battery as well…
You definitely want the H815T for Australia, for Telstra 3G support.

My bad.. Both versions support 3G 850.
The difference is H815 supports 4G B2 but not B40.. H815T is the other way around.
Hardly makes any difference for Australia. Perhaps depends on where you plan to travel?
Love my G4 but since last week I have been having problems with the camera. There is a big green spot in all the photos I take and apparently its a manufacturing issue

Band 40 is not as important but seems to be widespread in Melbourne/Sydney Metro areas. I guess for infill purposes?

All the towers I looked at with band 40 in those areas seemed to be running other bands as well which this phone can use
How's warranty process with Kogan? Are they easy to deal with?
not sure for $$$ items but i claimed warranty on 32gb microsd, just sent them scan disk report showing bad sectors and they send replacement for free not asking me to return the bad one.
but since then im afraid to put any photos on the card.

The 1+2 has more ram, faster soc, lower resolution screen, misses band 28, no SD card slot or removable battery and camera isn't as good.
Definitely the G4 over the OP2.
The OPO was competitive because of its price. The OP2 has nothing.

Does anyone know how the G4 performs in low signal areas (Telstra) I currently have a G2 and that gets out performed in the signal departmemt by Iphone 4-6 and the S5 and S6. Would probably pull the trigger if it can pick up a data connection in rural spots.

It's a seriously nice looking black leather phone. Screen looks superb. Camera seems awesome. Haven't chucked my sim in yet but so far it's nice to play with. It came with Quadbeat 3 headphones but no spare plastic case like you get with some suppliers, FYI.
Hey guys, hopefully someone here can help me. I also received mine today bought off ebay. Mine wasn't sealed nor was it BRAND NEW, opened it up and the phone was the wrong way around with finger smudges on the screen. Headphones are tied with a cable tie. Only battery was actually sealed. After turning it on everything is Chinese. Someone had already gotten into the phones home screen. Anyone else with any issues? should i contact Kogan?

Mine was face down and in Chinese, headphones were wrapped with twist tie. I think these are Taiwan stock so would be in Chinese, also the headphones box looked unopened to me so think that they are wrapped from factory with twist t tie.
Mine came screen side down.
Mine too arrived with no sealed and phone screen face down. Back cover is not in place. Seem like someone have been tested or used unit. Can't find how long this phone has been turned on. It's quite ok unit for this price.

Mine was the same, face down with finger prints on screen and back loose.
No problems though, as the phone seemed otherwise brand new. The fingers prints were on the removable plastic sheet protecting the phone screen and not on the screen itself.
Manufacture date on box is 08/2015
Phone was also in Chinese, and I had to navigate with help of someone who read Chinese to change the language to English (Australia).
Just one more heads up to those who receive their phone and find that it's already been previously setup in Chinese.
Make sure you do a factory reset before using it. I didn't, and found battery life really bad. Now have done a factory reset and seems much better.
Anyone else's phone run a system update, haven't done it yet but I'm already on 5.1, what does it update toto?

edit: checked email, got one 4 days ago on 23 Sept (8PM on Thursday, currently Sunday morning) saying "The following item(s) from your order have now been processed and will be shipped to you shortly. / As soon as your product(s) leave the warehouse, our courier will provide tracking information and we will provide you with a further update on your order via email."
Have not received any tracking info… But by the looks of things, I should be getting it sometime next week.
Please check warranty info before buying grey import from Kogan. Friend bought grey import iphone from Kogan, and when battery became faulty, had to send overseas for analysis and then service. No replacement handset. He was without a phonefor ages.
