      No, unfortunately as a private import of a Motorola mobile phone intended for a different market, there will be no warranty support from Motorola Australia or their distributors.

      I think I saw on ShopBot that the Australian market model was available for about $90-$100 more. Maybe worth the extra for a local two year Consumer Guarantee.
