  • So if i have a qualification ( bachelor degree) i can still study these courses, just have to pay $99?
-Certificate IV in Bookkeeping - prerequisite to become a BAS agent
-Certificate IV in Accounting - prerequisite to become a Tax agent

    • Unless the Bachelor was completed overseas? Unfortunately, no, you do not meet the eligibility criteria.

      • +1

Actually, my friend Bachelor degree was completed overseas ( I'm not asking for me ^^)
        Do i qualify for this?

        • Yep if it's from overseas, your friend is eligible!

      • So even my qualification in different field, I won't be eligible for this subsidised course? E.g. I have a degree in education and interested in Financial Services.

    • "-You must not hold any Australian qualification at the same level or higher than the qualification you are enrolling into"

Bachelor degree is higher then a Level 4 cert.

      • Australian qualification - the key point. If it's from overseas, it doesn't count towards ineligibility.

        • I'd be careful with that statement. If it's recognised in Australia (e.g. NZ, UK, etc degree) and the Govt are aware (you used it in your application for perm residency/citizenship, etc) then I don't believe you're eligible for the VicGov subsidy.

        • +1
          • as a general rule, there are always exceptions.
  • Great promo/deal.. been looking to complete the Crt IV in Training and Assessment.

  • for someone to be a home loan broker whats the criteria?

  • +1

Would I be able to apply for this?
I live permantly in Victoria, though I'm currently staying temporally in South Australia for contracted work.

    • As long as you have a permanent Victorian Address and have proof ( Such as a Vic Address on your licence?) then certainly!

  • What's stopping me from failing to declare any other creditations I hold?

Do they verify your details against a central record system?

    • There is a system called USI - Unique Student Identifier.

Introduced in the latter part of 2014 - it is a central repository for all qualifications issued in Australia. It wasn't back dated for older qualifications. Before that, unfortunately, there is no way of checking, so we rely on the student to be honest.

      • Thanks for the honest answer mate :-)

  • The fine print states,
    "Enjoy by 30th November 2015"
It's not clear if you have to start the course or have it completed by this time.

Anyone know what the time requirements would be, couple hours a day? Sacrifice a few weekends.. etc…

    • Hey mate. Ah that's just how long the deal is running for - not the expected time you would finish the course.

All the Cert IV's have a maximum duration of 12 months - the amount of study is around 10 hours per week? But even that varies, based on your experience, competence, familiarity with concepts etc. Could be less, could be more, but on average 10.

  • Shame the WA govt doesn't do something similar 😫
